Catastrophe Craft

Catastrophe is a Terraria/Pilgrammed Inspired RPG Modpack that focuses heavily on
build-making and tough boss fights. You get to start as an origin of your choice, then a boon. 
With this character, you get to select the difficulty and adventure the world of Catastrophe Craft!

This mod pack features over a hundred mods, finely-tuned to work flawlessly with each other.
Catastrophe features tons of content, a quick summary would include...
- 4 Quest chapters featuring tons of bosses each
-1 Linear Quest chapter delving into the bosses of Goety
-3 Main classes, which are Melee, Mage, and Gunner
-Over 70 unique armor sets, each with their own purpose
-Over 250 unique weapons, helping progression at different stages
-Over 100 unique accessories, providing buffs and sometimes, tradeoffs 

-Over 50 Bosses, split amongst 3 main bounties. The bosses get harder as you progress along the list!
-3 Secret Bosses, anything from insane gear to hilarious troll items!
-Extra rewards for the first time killing of a boss! Lowering the need for refights!

Picking the best armor isn't just based of "Which one gives the most defense?" anymore,
Every armor set gives extra stats that help you make new builds!
There are dedicated armor sets for all 3 main classes + hybrids.

Every melee weapon has a weapon skill to come along with it!
These are determined off of the type of weapon it is, such as all greatswords sharing the same skills.
However, certain weapons have their own unique skills, such as the lightsaber shown above!
Furthermore, certain weapons can also have more than one skill!
Mages and Gunners do not have individual weapon skills, and instead have their own variations!

The world of Catastrophe is very vast, featuring large dungeons, small shacks that feature secrets, and looping mazes that might drive you mad! There are countless dungeons awaiting to be explored by you!

Combat Mechanics

Combat is extremely indepth, featuring a parrying, blocking, and dodging system fitting into a neat package of extremely tough timings and boss fights!

Parrying

• Powered my zeli_'s Mallard Guard mod!
  Negates damage completely with a satisfying noise and crazy effects!
• Comes with harsh timing, practice makes perfect!
• Rebounds damage back to the attacker, serving as an offensive tool just as much as it is defensive.
• Can perfect parry if timed well, dealing additional rebound damage.

Blocking

• Works as a last-ditch effort to protect yourself!
• Negates about 40% of inccoming damage, great if you don't understand the boss' attack patterns yet.
• Holding it up too long can prove detrimental to you against certain, heavy hitting bosses!

Rolling

• Boots in an armor set typically gives extra rolls depending on how heavy it is. 
• Rolling gives a tiny bit of invincibility frames, allowing the user to dodge attacks!
• Rolling also provides a considerable amount of distance and acceleration, great for disengage.
  

Researching

• To unlock Create and Oritech, the modpack's two tech mods, you must research them first.
• This process involves crafting a scroll then using a research pedestal to unlock the mods.
• Certain weapons also require blueprints that are also researched
• Certain blueprints require higher level pedestals.
• Every layer has multiple ways to upgrade into the next tier so don't feel forced to grind certain materials or progress an unwanted mod just for the pedestal upgrade! 

Performance

Catastrophe was fully made on a very old gaming laptop from 2014.
Performance is very optimized with my laptop running it at about 90 FPS with albeit low settings.
The default options keeps chunk rendering distance and graphic settings low on purpose to not lag horrendously for low end PCs that struggle when first opening a world.
The user is then  encouraged to go into settings and fine-tune their graphical settings to fit their specs, whether that means raising the graphics and lowering them further.
