After B2.0.3 I realised I hadn't gone back and added any performance mods. So this update focuses on that.

 

A NOTE ON SHADER SUPPORT
Optifine is not currently working wtih the modpack. Not sure why, it is what it is. I have added Rubidium, Oculus & Magnesium/Rubidium Extras. They do overall increase FPS without shaders if you are playing in survival. Use shaders at your own risk lol.

 

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
performant-1.18.2-6.7 - unfortunately this is in ALPHA and requires patreon for the moment. But if you are having performance issues and are running a server this is highly recomended.

If you're playing single player and having performance issues, you can try Radium Reforged. But I was getting crashes when using this on a dedicated server.

Okay so while playtesting we identified that the zombienation mod was sending zombies to overwelm the player when mining. I have explored alternate mod options, but have landed on tweaking zombie AI settings in zombienation which we're testing for the time being. If the zombies are still too much I will look to change out the mod in the future.

While searching for zombie mods I came across a couple of mods which I had been looking for, as well as just a few other cool ones! A few of the mods I have been keeping an eye out for introduce some fanatasy style guns. Well I've landed on Guns Without Roses, which isn't as fantasy as I would like, but it's the best out there for gameplay feel I think. This will utalise the PMMO Gunslinger stat in the future. I want this to be a bit of an advanced class to archery, more config to come for this. Second, Domum Ornamentum which will greatly expand building, I will be balancing this at a later time to make it for high level builders only. Lastly Toolbelt which introduces a new hotbar system. I think this will make modded play a bit easier to manage especially at high levels.

There are also a number of smaller additions I thought fit the theme, so I threw them in while I was at it!

This release will work without a new worldgen if you have a game in progress. No worldgen mods have been added.

As stated earlier, moving to BETA releases the focus is not on new MODs but balancing now. That said I do have a few more class specific MODs I have planned to add in the future and a few more I am "Keeping and eye out" for. I am not currently planning any other major changes which would require a world regen, but we'll see what happens.

So sorry I've been away for around 9 mo. I had my first baby!

 

So I'm back and have decided to migrate the pack and server to 1.18.2

 

The focus this time is on PMMO balancing from the start.

In the first Alpha I have already included PMMO progression for Combat, Archery, Magic, Fishing, and Smithing.

I will keep adding skill balancing and progression via Alpha releases.

 

When I feel I have managed to give every PMMO skill a progression path of some sort I will officially release Broadcraft 2.0.
