You wake in a world full of life, carrying fragments of memories you cannot place. The forests are unfamiliar. The ruins feel less so.

Borrowed Dawn is a story-driven progression modpack for Minecraft 1.20.1 that brings magic and technology into one connected journey. Develop each at your own pace, then bring them together at major milestones to reach beyond what either path could accomplish alone.

Build automated workshops, master magical disciplines, explore distant worlds, and prepare for increasingly demanding bosses. Your journey leads toward the Devourer of Gods, but curious players may discover that victory leaves a few questions unanswered.

- Connected progression: Custom recipes and quests give your machines, rituals, and expeditions a shared purpose.
- A mystery told in fragments: Recover glimpses of a lost civilization as you reach new milestones, and piece together the history behind your arrival.
- A varied journey: Progress through exploration, automation, magic, and combat, with the emphasis on new challenges rather than repetitive grinding.
- Solo or together: Designed around solo play and cooperative groups of 1–6, with room for players to specialize and contribute to a shared adventure.
- A substantial endgame: Work toward powerful equipment, creative-tier projects, and encounters that test everything you have built.

Currently in alpha. Any feedback is appreciated. Quests, recipes, balance, and performance are still being refined. The complete journey is being designed around roughly 200 hours of play, including optional discoveries; actual completion time will vary.
