Borrowed Dawn Companion

Borrowed Dawn Companion contains the compatibility and presentation fixes used by the Borrowed Dawn modpack. Install the same file on the client and dedicated server; the presentation hooks only run on the client.

Features

• Avaritia Lite queue protection: prevents client-side Infinity Armor callbacks from entering the server work queue and surviving a world disconnect.
• Structure-height cache: avoids repeated terrain-height calculations within Lithostitched structure placement. The bounded cache belongs to each generation context; custom terrain generators retain their original calculation path.
• Menu presentation: draws the included Borrowed Dawn title at its intended size and positions splash text near its lower-right edge.
• Dimension music: prevents unrelated background music from overlapping the native soundtrack in Scorched Architect dimensions.

Compatibility

• Minecraft 1.20.1, Java 17, and Forge 47.4.10 or a compatible later 47.x version.
• Requires Avaritia Lite 1.10.2 and Lithostitched 1.4.11. The code hooks target these exact mod versions; other versions are not supported by this release.
• Designed for Borrowed Dawn. Installing it in another pack also changes that pack's main-menu title. The music hook has no effect outside Scorched Architect dimensions.

The companion does not change boss mechanics, combat effects, shader-pack settings, recipes, or quest progression. The modpack supplies its quests, recipes, panorama, and other resources separately.

Replacing the private fixes

Remove aoa-avaritia-compat, borrowed-dawn-presentation, and borrowed-dawn-worldgen-compat before installing this companion. Do not install both the old fixes and this replacement. No items, blocks, or world registries are added or renamed.

License: MIT. The source package includes build instructions and validation tests. No Minecraft, Forge, Avaritia, or Lithostitched classes are redistributed.
