ARSOM 3 strives to the ideals of the modpacks of old: having a nice rounded balance of content mods while not detracting too far from the original minecraft experience.
This modpack adds some tech, some magic, some dimensions & some combat/adventuring. It does this without going too far in each direction and suffering from ridiculous powerscaling, causing the game to end quickly.
There are only about 20 major content mods, with the rest being extensions, addons, quality of life & performance mods. They were carefully chosen and tweaked as to not let the player's level of power get out of hand and remain a reasonable challenge throughout. Dimension & terrain mods - The Aether + redux + deep aether, Deeper & darker, enlightnd, incendium, Terralith
Quality of life mods - Appleskin, Sophisticated backpacks & storage, Inventory profiles next, Lootr, JEI, Journeymap, gravestone, the one probe & more
Farming mods - Farmers delight + addons, cooking for blockheads
Building mods - Worldedit, building gadgets (for those who want a parallel building server)
Performance mods - Embeddium + oculus, client tweaks, immediately fast & a lot more!
Other Noteworthy things about this pack
- Scaling health has been changed in an included datapack to balance difficulty scaling over time, this can be configured.
- When dungeons arise & Dungeon crawl has been changed in an included datapack to shift the loot tables to be far more reasonable and not give an excess of rare items.
