This is a difficult modpack designed to make both caving and exploration much more... exciting.
This modpack makes heavy use of the True Darkness mod, making light level zero pitch black. Night vision becomes more and more valuable as you journey into the nether and the end, with the ultimate goal being to kill the (much harder) ender dragon. But don't worry! With dynamic lighting and Mekanism Tools, you won't have anything to fear... if you can survive.
Most weapon, tool, and armor recipes have been overhauled to force a slower progression and a much stronger dependence on mob drops. An in-depth Mekanism tutorial is provided, which serves to go above and beyond even the official Mekanism documentation. The majority of default values in the Mekanism config files have been nerfed.
Not everything is a nerf though, as a recipe for each (level 1) enchanted book is provided, as well as recipes for some otherwise uncraftable items (such as budding amethyst blocks)!
