Description
The Problem In Minecraft, mobs spawn and despawn frequently in dark areas, for example, in caves. This continuous cycle decreases the performance of the game. Also, when you kill an mob, it is removed from the world and has no permanent effect on the environment.
Primary Function: Performance Improvement When an mob (for example, a Zombie or a Skeleton) dies or despawns, it stays in the world. The mob becomes a block. The name of this block is "Zombie Remains". The Zombie Remains block gives these effects:
- It fills the empty space.
- It prevents the continuous spawn of new mobs in that space.
- It increases the performance of the server.
The Cycle of the Undead The Zombie Remains blocks can stack to a maximum of 16 layers. New undead mobs can spawn from these blocks. If a block has many layers, it can spawn stronger mobs. Examples of these stronger mobs are Enhanced Zombies or Elite Skeletons. These mobs have more health, damage, and speed.
The Screamer Mob This mod adds a new mob, the Screamer. The Screamer usually stays in dark areas. If the Screamer sees a player, it makes a loud sound. This sound causes all adjacent Zombie Remains blocks to spawn new mobs immediately. These new mobs get a speed increase.
Environmental Effects and Removal If a player walks through a Zombie Remains block, the player can get damage and a poison effect. To stop the spawn of new mobs, you must remove the blocks. Use a shovel to break the Zombie Remains blocks. When you break a block, you can find items (for example, bones, armor, or weapons).
Technical Data and Configuration This mod contains exactly one new block type and one new mob. The visual shape of the Zombie Remains block changes when the number of layers increases. You can change all settings in the configuration file. For example, you can adjust:
- The spawn probabilities
- The maximum number of layers
- The performance limits.
You can include this mod in all CurseForge modpacks. Please do not upload the mod files to different websites.
