What's new
zHunters Waypoints 1.2.8
Added
- Added optional compatibility with Player Remains 1.0.7+.

- Death waypoints are created at the exact location of the player's death.
- Added automatic removal of the corresponding death waypoint when the Player Remains body is removed.

- Added automatic reuse of the lowest available death waypoint number.
- Added Mod Menu 7.2.2+ integration.
- Added a client-side configuration option to enable or disable automatic death waypoints.

Changed
- Death waypoints now use the existing zHunters Waypoints private waypoint system and persistence.
- Death waypoints are persisted using the same system as regular private waypoints.
- Existing Player Remains bodies created before the compatibility was installed are ignored and do not receive retroactive waypoints.
- Death waypoints remain at the original death location even if the Player Remains body is moved by water, lava, or other liquids.
- Death waypoint names are localized:
- Português (Brasil):
Morte,Morte (1),Morte (2)... - English:
Death,Death (1),Death (2)...
- Português (Brasil):
- Added recognition of existing death waypoint names in both languages to prevent numbering conflicts when changing the game language.
- Updated waypoint menus, labels, buttons, messages, scope names, coordinate fields, color controls, and other interface text for Portuguese (Brazil) and English.
- Disabling automatic death waypoints only affects future automatic markers and does not remove existing waypoints.
- Player Remains remains completely optional.
- Mod Menu remains completely optional.
Performance
- Removed continuous body checking and world scanning from the Player Remains compatibility.
- Death body handling is event-driven and does not require per-tick body verification.
- Optimized automatic death waypoint removal to prevent disk I/O from blocking the Minecraft client during Player Remains body removal.
- Automatic death waypoint persistence is now performed asynchronously while keeping the same private waypoint data and persistence system.
- Added safeguards to prevent an older asynchronous save from overwriting newer waypoint data.
- Pending asynchronous waypoint saves are finalized when leaving the server or closing the client.
Compatibility
- Added compatibility with
player_remains >=1.0.7. - Added compatibility with
modmenu >=7.2.2. - Improved optional dependency handling so the base Waypoints mod remains fully functional without Player Remains or Mod Menu installed.
