What's new
🚀 ZERQIUM 1.0.5 for Minecraft 1.21.11 — safe defaults release.
The adaptive render-distance saga is over: the module was fully fixed in 1.0.2–1.0.4 and audited three times. 1.0.5 makes the promise structural — adaptive now ships DISABLED by default, and existing installs are migrated to that same safe default automatically.
🔒 The headline: adaptive render distance is OFF by default
- New installs:
adaptive=falseout of the box. ZERQIUM never touches your render distance unless you opt in. - Updating from 1.0.x with adaptive ON? Your config is migrated once
(schema 2 → 3): adaptive is switched off, the game log explains it, and
one command brings it back if you want it:
/zq adaptive on— from then on the choice is permanent and respected. - The module is unchanged — every fix from 1.0.2/1.0.3/1.0.4 is intact (severe-duress-only reductions, evidence gate, AFK-awareness, one-step recovery, 5-minute manual grace, chat transparency).
Why: the render-distance slider is personal. The module is safe now, but nobody should meet it through a surprise slider move. Opt-in is the honest default.
🛡️ Everything from 1.0.2–1.0.4 still applies
- Severe-duress-only reductions (below 60 FPS sustained 10 s at target 120).
- AFK/minimized/menu-aware via the live
FramerateLimitTracker. - Adaptive works at DEFAULT target/cap settings (1.0.3 BUG-3 fix).
- One-step recovery to YOUR setting; 5-minute grace after a manual raise.
- 💬 Chat transparency:
[ZQ] Adaptive: render distance 16 -> 15 (sustained low FPS)— the slider never moves silently. - Static render tracker classification (1.0.4) and the overflow-proof scheduler cursor (1.0.4).
