What's New — Build 2.0.14 / 1.0.14
Fixed
- Grounded could still let you jump. The old fix zeroed your velocity from the server, but your own jump is decided on your own client a tick earlier — so the server correction always arrived too late to matter. Now the jump is cancelled right at the source, on your own client, before it ever happens.
- Black Cloud had several issues: the "cloud" was just scattered particles that read like confetti with no solid mass above you; the rain sound almost never played (it was tied to a setting that only rolls once every 5 minutes); and once the cloud became visible, it snapped between positions instead of moving smoothly. Now it's a real solid dark cloud entity with no collision, rain sound at the same frequency vanilla itself uses, and smooth motion that follows you naturally.
- Aflame in/near water caused a non-stop extinguish sound. The game uses the same signal both to render the fire visual and to decide when to try extinguishing it in water — since Aflame never has real fire to actually extinguish, the game got stuck endlessly retrying and spamming the sound.
- A pre-existing trait (Liar's Eyes) could crash the game during world/chunk generation. It used a data structure that isn't safe when multiple parts of the game read it at the same time, which happens whenever terrain is being compiled across multiple threads. Fixed.
