Would You Rather By Buraca27 (WYRBB)

Every so often, you’re forced to choose between two permanent trade-offs. Stats change, controls shift, and visuals glitch. Both halves take effect immediately and neither wears off. How long can you survive the mess you build?

What's new

What's new

Added

  • Guard Reflex — a new boon. Your shield raises itself to block an incoming melee hit before it even lands, no clicking required. The more copies you hold, the more often it actually catches something — up to a hard cap so it's never a guarantee.
  • Blood Price — a new bane. Every kill that's actually yours takes a sliver of your own health with it, whatever you killed it with — sword, bow, or otherwise.
  • Grounded — a new bane. Try to jump while sprinting and nothing happens. You have to actually stop moving to leave the ground.
  • Black Cloud — a new bane. A small storm of your very own follows you everywhere: real rain falling over your head, distant thunder, and — every now and then — a genuine lightning strike close by. Everyone nearby sees and hears it exactly as you do, and it can set nearby wood alight just like a real storm would, so it's not one to stand under next to your house.

Changed

  • Aflame, Muddled Hands and Crooked Grip are now visible to everyone, not just you. These three used to only ever change what you personally saw — someone standing right next to you never noticed a thing, no matter how many copies you had. All three are now genuinely shared: Aflame makes you visibly burn to anyone watching, Muddled Hands shows the wrong item in your hand to onlookers, and Crooked Grip is now correctly tied to whoever is actually holding the item — so it no longer wrongly showed up on someone else's hand (or a mob's) just because you held the trait.
  • Deep-Dweller now also triggers in any sufficiently dark spot, not only below Y0 — a lightless cave or an unlit room counts as "deep" too, exactly like real depth did before.
  • A pass over the European Portuguese (pt_PT) translation: dozens of small wording fixes that had crept in — verbs quietly missing their "tu" conjugation, a couple of trait names that meant the opposite of the trait itself ("Voo Rasante" for a trait about flying higher), some awkward literal translations from English, and a couple of names that just didn't read naturally. Nothing changed in what any trait actually does — wording only.

Fixed

  • Ten traits had no translation at all in either Portuguese language — Second Sight, Emboldened Foes, Timber!, Vein Miner, Power Napper, Sleepless, Silver Tongue, Bad Reputation, Nether-Born and Nether-Sick were silently falling back to their raw English text for every pt_PT and pt_BR player. All ten now have proper names and descriptions in both.
  • Added the missing translation for the leaderboard keybind (key.wouldyourather.leaderboard) in both Portuguese languages — it was silently falling back to its raw, untranslated name before.
