- Instant Smelt affected anything with a smelting recipe, not just ores — mining sand or clay while holding it quietly turned them into glass or bricks. Restricted to actual ore blocks.
- Instant Smelt still wasn't quite instant on 1.21.1 — the fix used a same-tick swap, which still sent the client a raw-item packet before the correction. Fabric API's
LootTableEvents.MODIFY_DROPS(used on 26.2 for a true zero-flash fix) doesn't exist on the Fabric API version 1.21.1 targets, so both 1.21.1 builds now use a mixin on the vanilla drop-generation method instead, rewriting the drop before any item entity is ever created — same zero-flash result as 26.2, just reached a different way.
