Obtain the worms breaking grass blocks ((not grass, the green dirt one))

Craft a Wormposter and place the worms in the Gui

Then rigth click the block with leaves, vegetables and plants!

 

You will obtain HUMMUS, a powerful fertilizer, that is also capable of being turned in to a block (that fertilizes the crops in it)
