An exceptionally simple yet effective mod that brings in-world tooltips for items on the ground. It will also add Not Enough Items and/or Waila information if either of those mods are installed.
Essentials:
New! Rarity colored tooltips, yay!
Stack sizes are easily viewable.
Any item, any mod, will display anything that NEI would display.
1.16 please
I think this would be a really cool mod for vive craft. It's on forge 1.16. (sorry I know mod creators don't like the pls update comments but I do respect your hard work and don't feel entitled to anything) I mean I'm not sure if in vivecraft you would need to point at the items with your actual hand but that would kinda work out anyways. But the pictures look cool, I like diegetic design.
Will you update mod on newest versions?
I am thinking on commisioning a port of this mod on the MMD discord are you fine with that? (The mod has been commisioned but the author of this mod needs to aprove it for it to be posted on curseforge) the fabric version has been posted on curseforge for 1.15 and 1.16.
In reply to spenceregilbert:
If the commissioned mod was built from scratch I personally see no reason that it should conflict. If its been updated from this mod, there is a github repo that a pull request could be made to. That would also allow people to build from its source code until it gets put on CurseForge, which would be nice. Either way, I really wanna see this mod come back to life haha.
Edit:
PS they do have a license at https://github.com/GenuineSounds/World-Tooltips/blob/master/LICENSE.md
This license allows for a modified copy to be redistributed as well (under some conditions)
This also means fresh built mods are fine too.
In reply to Hexcede:
ok I will mention that to the person who I commissioned it from.
In reply to spenceregilbert:
So.. no forge version?
In reply to rendoch:
apparently curseforge denied it since it was to similar to another mod (probably this page or the fabric port)
Do you have plans to update this anytime soon? I think this is an extremely cool idea and I'd love to see it for 1.15 and 1.14! Would definitely be useful as well
In reply to Hexcede:
Honestly I can't see having the time to say that I'd be able to update this. I'd LOVE to update it but I can't say that I even can, in good conscience. Sorry man. The source is on Github and free for anyone to use, update, rewrite, or whatever.
EDIT: I will try at least to get something done this weekend, I haven't looked into it so I don't know if it's an easy update.
In reply to GenuineSounds:
I understand! I'll maybe take look at updating it myself and make a pull request. Hopefully it'll be easy to fix considering fabric is able to update so fast! Good luck
In reply to Hexcede:
I commissioned a 1.15.2 version which is now done. It will hopefully either be posted on this page or on a new one if the original creator does not respond.
In reply to spenceregilbert:
Hi, did your commissioned version ever get posted?
Could you please update the 1.8.9 version so it allows multiplayer? Also, is this also required serverside?Already works on multiplayer
Hey, your mod is amazing but could you add an option to show only the name without the other stuff? like in the plugin: https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/b0ilin9s-drops-displays-the-item-name-on-the-ground-1-8-1-12.47342/
there are alot of servers that use colored stuff under the item's name and it's get really broken. thanks alot for the mod it will be even better if you add that.
btw, it doesn't seems to show exact info at all times. when im on wynncraft and throw an item on the floor, it doesn't show what it shows in my inventory...
my inventory: http://prntscr.com/nfflke
floor: http://prntscr.com/nffmdm
It don't work on server is it normal ?
