World Remembers: Living Legends 1.1.0

A major update for both Fabric and NeoForge 1.21.1, focused on mod compatibility, map integrations, better generated place names, and important bug fixes.

Added

  • Added NeoForge 1.21.1 support.
  • Added optional JourneyMap integration:
    • Discovered places can appear as fantasy-style map labels.
    • Labels are personal and appear only after a player has discovered the place.
    • World Journal destinations can be shown on the map.
  • Added optional Xaero's Maps integration:
    • World Journal can create and remove personal destination waypoints.
  • Added optional FTB Chunks integration:
    • World Journal can create and remove personal destination waypoints.
  • Added Place Visual Themes for title overlays and JourneyMap labels.
    • Different place types now have distinct visual moods, such as discovery, death, battle, boss sites, portals, and memorials.
  • Added built-in compatibility data for many popular mods, including:
    • The Aether
    • Deeper and Darker
    • Bosses of Mass Destruction
    • Terralith
    • Incendium
    • Dungeons and Taverns
    • When Dungeons Arise
    • Towns and Towers
    • Regions Unexplored
    • Explorify
    • Illager Invasion
    • L_Ender's Cataclysm on NeoForge
    • The Twilight Forest on NeoForge
    • BetterEnd, BetterNether, AdventureZ, VoidZ, and Mythic Metals on Fabric

Improved

  • Improved generated place names across all name styles.
  • Reworked many generated names so they feel more like real remembered places instead of technical map labels.
  • Removed dry UI-like naming patterns such as Marker:, Route:, Checkpoint:, Landmark:, and similar translated variants.
  • Improved name variety for common landmark, death, combat, slaughter, discovery, boss, mining, portal, dimension, and memorial places.
  • Improved compatibility-themed names for modded biomes, structures, dimensions, bosses, mobs, and blocks.
  • Improved debug and validation commands for name generation and compatibility checks.
  • Improved map provider routing so each map mod only receives the type of data it supports.

Fixed

  • Fixed repeated fall-death places generating the same name too often.
  • Fixed meadow and general landmark names sometimes collapsing into a repeated name.
  • Fixed similar fixed-name pools in high-frequency naming contexts, including rabbit slaughter landmarks.
  • Fixed compatibility biome landmarks sometimes generating the same name repeatedly, especially in Twilight Forest biome themes.
  • Fixed boss kills inside or near a related first-discovered boss structure creating duplicate stacked places.
    • Example: discovering a Naga Courtyard and then killing Naga should no longer create two overlapping named places for the same location.
  • Fixed several naming quality issues in generated Russian and English names.
  • Fixed several compatibility registry and validation edge cases.
  • Existing saved places are not automatically renamed or deleted by this update.

Notes

  • Existing generated places may visually use improved language text if their saved name recipe points to updated name keys.
  • Manually renamed places stay exactly as written.
  • Map integrations are optional. The mod still works without JourneyMap, Xaero's Maps, or FTB Chunks.
