This mod is heavily inspired and derived from wonderland.jar! I made this mod because i like wonderland.jar and wanted to make my own. Support the original creator alexander.25.k

You make a new world and it looks like the ones you remember: old terrain, old grass, old trees. Deserts, snowfields, flat grassland that goes on further than it should. You build, you mine, you survive the way you always have.

You are not the first one here.

What this is

world.jar is a horror mod built around its story. Nothing explains itself. The lore is left lying around: notes in chests, signs on walls, books and ledgers, things people wrote down and never came back for. Read what you find. Press N to open your notebook; every note you pick up is kept there.

What happens is up to the world, not you. It gets worse the longer you stay. Pay attention to what changes.

• A reworked overworld: old-style terrain with old biomes and wide, flat stretches
• Places you weren't meant to reach, and things that live there
• A story told only through what you find, with more than one way it can end
• Original soundtrack and sound design

Before you play

Photosensitivity warning. This mod contains flashing images, flickering and sudden visual effects. You'll be asked before anything happens, and you can choose Reduce flashing to turn flashes and strobes into slow fades. You can change it later under Options → world.jar…

• Play it in a new world. Existing worlds keep their old terrain.
• Made for singleplayer, played alone, with sound on.
• The classic textures (Minecraft's built-in Programmer Art pack) are switched on the first time you play. You can turn them off under Resource Packs if you want.

Developer options

Want to look at the mobs without the story? Options → world.jar… → Enable creative dev options turns on the /worldjar commands, the spawn eggs in creative and the F3 screen. It's for poking around, not for playing; it takes the mystery out of everything.
