Where's My Wither Storm - Modern Port

A modern Forge port of the original Where's My Wither Storm addon for Cracker's Wither Storm Mod.

This addon changes how the Wither Storm behaves during the earlier phases and gives you more control over how the Wither Storm enters your world.

FEATURES

Wither Storm Phase Protection

By default, the Wither Storm cannot take normal damage before reaching Phase 7.

This prevents the Wither Storm from being killed or heavily damaged during its earlier phases and allows it to progress into the massive late-game monster it is supposed to become.

Once it reaches Phase 7, normal damage works again.

Disable Natural Storm Spawn Platform Generation

The addon disables the natural generation of the Wither Storm's Storm Spawn Platform.

This is useful if you would rather:

• Build the Wither Storm yourself
• Use a custom spawn setup
• Spawn it with commands
• Use another addon or structure
• Control exactly where the Wither Storm appears

CONFIG

A config file is generated for the mod:

config/wmws.toml

The Phase 7 protection can be enabled or disabled from the config.

Default:

Wither Storm invulnerable before Phase 7: TRUE

REQUIRED MOD

Cracker's Wither Storm Mod is required.

This addon does not add its own Wither Storm.

It modifies the Wither Storm from Cracker's Wither Storm Mod.

WHY PORT THIS MOD?

The original Where's My Wither Storm was made for an older Minecraft version.

I wanted these features available on the newer versions of Cracker's Wither Storm Mod, especially the ability to keep the Wither Storm protected until Phase 7.

FAQ

Does this add a new Wither Storm?

No.

It modifies the Wither Storm from Cracker's Wither Storm Mod.

What happens before Phase 7?

With the default config, the Wither Storm is protected from normal damage.

You can attack it all you want.

The giant flying world-eating monster does not care.

What happens at Phase 7?

The protection ends and the Wither Storm can take normal damage again.

Can I disable the Phase 7 protection?

Yes.

Open:

config/wmws.toml

and disable the Wither Storm invulnerability option.

Why doesn't the Storm Spawn Platform naturally generate?

That is intentional.

This port keeps the original addon's default behavior of disabling natural Storm Spawn Platform generation.

Does this require Cracker's Wither Storm Mod?

Yes.

Without CWSM there is no Wither Storm for this addon to modify.

Does this work with 1.16.5?

Use the original version of Where's My Wither Storm for older supported versions.

This project is specifically the modern Forge port.

Will there be a Fabric version?

No plans currently.

Will there be a NeoForge version?

No plans currently. I would rather spend that time maintaining and improving the Forge versions.
