Wheeky Wheels
A small mod that adds guinea pigs to Minecraft, and a kit that lets you drive one.
I've always enjoyed watching guinea pig videos, and one day I wondered what they'd be like in Minecraft, my favourite game. So I made them.
Guinea pigs
Guinea pigs live in meadows in herds of four to six, and on plains in smaller groups of two to four.
They come in six fur colours: Cream, Brown, Dutch, Tricolor, Himalayan and Golden. Golden is the rare one, at 5%. Each colour has its own spawn egg in the creative tab.
Hold food and the whole herd comes begging.
The rest of the time they graze, groom and nap.
If a fox, a wild wolf or cat, or a hostile mob gets close, they freeze and then run.
Taming and babies
Give a wild one a carrot or a dandelion to tame it (1 in 3 chance each time).
Feed two adults the same way and they'll have a baby that takes after one parent's colour.
The car kit
Craft the kit and right-click a tamed adult guinea pig with it. After that, anyone can ride it by right-clicking with an empty hand.
Sprint to go full speed, jump to hop, and left-click with an empty hand to honk. Puffs of smoke trail behind you as you drive.

Driving makes your guinea pig hungry. A hungry one slows down, to as low as 40% speed, but it never stops. You can feed it from the driver's seat: a carrot fills 25, a dandelion 15, and wheat 10, out of 100.
On foot, hold food and look at your guinea pig to see how full it is.
Only the owner can take the kit off, with shears or from the guinea pig's inventory. The kit's tooltip explains how.
