What's new

What Changed? 1.2.0 - suggestions from the comments, thank you!

  • Notification switch: new Notify button in the What Changed? screen - All (toast, chat, title button) / Quiet (title button only) / Off (just J or /whatchanged)
  • Downgrades: mods that went to an older version get their own "Downgraded mods" section (↓) instead of counting as updates
  • Mod loader changes: Fabric Loader / Forge / NeoForge version changes are shown at the top of the Mods tab, marked updated, downgraded or switched (e.g. Forge → NeoForge), with a link to the loader's official changelog (Minecraft version changes link to the Minecraft Wiki)
  • Config changes: new Configs tab - which mods' config files were added, removed or changed, and exactly which values changed (spawnRate: 12 → 20). Understands TOML, JSON/JSON5, properties/INI/old Forge CFG and YAML; comments, key order and formatting are ignored; tokens and passwords are never shown. Config-only changes don't pop up a notification by default (notifyConfigChanges in config.json)
  • Markdown export now includes the loader line with its changelog link, downgraded mods and all config changes
  • Long names, versions and values are shortened with "…" instead of running past the list; long tooltips wrap at word boundaries
  • Small windows: the header and tab labels shorten themselves, the toast stays clear of the title-screen button
  • Fixed: on 1.20.x the toast could be created during the loading screen and its text ran out of the box
  • Formatting codes (§) in mod names and config values no longer restyle the list
  • Versions that can't be compared (git hashes, code names) count as plain updates, never as downgrades
  • The config scan skips a folder it may not open instead of giving up, and queued snapshot writes are finished before the game exits
