Wayfarer's Journal adds a multiplayer viewpoint and discovery system built around a custom telescope. Players can explore the world, discover registered landmarks, and preserve their findings in an illustrated Wayfarer’s Journal.

For Server Administrators

Only Viewpoint Telescopes can host registered viewpoints. Operators can register a viewpoint by looking directly at a telescope and using:

/wayfarer add <name>

Additional commands include:

/wayfarer list
/wayfarer archive
/wayfarer unarchive
/wayfarer remove

Registered viewpoints, player discovery progress, archive status, and captured images are stored server-side, making them suitable for multiplayer worlds and dedicated servers.

Image Capture

Operators can crouch and interact with a registered telescope to configure its name and capture a viewpoint image. After the countdown, the image is uploaded to the server and stored separately from player data.

Captured images are only sent to players who have discovered the corresponding viewpoint.
