• Ruins in the wild. Broken white pillars around a mossy floor, a field of blue and white flowers, and an anchor in the middle that the first player to use it owns. Rare. Found in plains, meadows, flower forests and cherry groves. Config: worldgen.ruins, worldgen.ruinChance.
• Nether ruins made of blackstone and basalt, in crimson forests, warped forests and the wastes. Even rarer. Config: worldgen.netherRuinChance.
• Pages in the wind. When you cast with the book, the pages flip, slowly at first and faster as the spell charges. The open book has pages on both sides now.
• Wind sound for Waystaff casts and anchor casts. It gets stronger until you teleport.
• Waystones open the Waybound travel screen, so you see your anchors and your waystones in one list. Sneak-use a waystone for the normal Waystones screen. Config: compat.waystoneOpensTravelScreen.
• Mounts come with you. Your horse, camel, pig or strider travels with you, and so do other players riding it.
• Anchors light up the ground like a lantern (light level 10), with a faint hint of their colour at night. Client option: anchorGroundLight.
• Repair in an anvil: a worn Grimoire plus amethyst shards. The crafting grid still works.
• Anchor upgrade effect: a runestone or Runic Socket flies into the anchor with a flash and its own sound.
• Small touches:
  • dust and the block's sound when you land;
  • a knock on the ground when a Waystaff cast starts;
  • sparkles when your pets arrive;
  • the book slams shut (or the staff's gem cracks) when a hit breaks your cast;
  • a worn-out Grimoire looks worn, its flame is smaller and its pages crackle;
  • new sounds for closing the book, the Aegis ward and the stone waystone screen.

Changed

• No waystones spawn in the world any more, including ones inside other mods' structures. Waystones you place are never touched, and village waystones still become anchor plazas. Config: worldgen.removeWaystones.
• When the Aegis ward breaks you see it crack and shatter into glass pieces, and the hit that breaks it now goes through.
• The book stays open when you start a cast from its screen or choose which pets come along.
• The book closes after you arrive, not when you leave. The clasp now swings over and latches.
• Bookmarks and your favourite stay at the top of the anchor list.
• Village and outpost anchors look a bit more overgrown.
• Page sounds are quieter and sound more like paper.

Fixed

• Shader packs (Iris / Oculus): Beacon columns, rune circles and runestone orbs show up now. Spell effects no longer turn dark at night, and beams are no longer cut up by the shader's clouds.
• You can't cast in a boat or minecart any more (they can't travel with you). Config: casting.blockInVehicles.
• Someone riding behind you on a horse no longer gets carried along when they cast their own spell.
• Long warnings in the Grimoire fit on the page.
• The book could flash closed for one frame during a cast.
• After lag (for example while a teleport loads chunks), many page sounds could play at once.
• A ruined anchor next to a taiga village could cut down a log house as if it were a tree.
