[0.10.1] - 2026-10-10 — keys as bound, and the lobby lets go
Network protocol is now 20 (the lobby state carries its countdown in ticks). A 0.10.0 build and this one refuse each other at login.
- Every text that names a key names it as it is bound now: the join hints (which leave the shop key out on a client where it is switched off -- the switch is each client's own), the ready-check announcement, the ready HUD line, the shop-key setting and its tooltip, the shop button's tooltip (which no longer offers the shop key where it is switched off), the debug HUD. They all printed the default letter, wrong for anyone who had rebound it.
- Controls → Key Binds named three of the mod's five keys, and their category, by raw id (
key.wavedefense.openmenu…). They have names in all eight languages now. - The ready key works from the PvP menu, whose status line tells you to press it during the ready check -- and says whether you are ready; a key pressed while a screen is open never reached the binding.
- The lobby's screens close when the match takes you in, along with the hub menus you waited in; they used to stay over the fight, refreshed to "running". While the match runs, the PvP menu has a way back to the table, whose Start button no longer offers to start a running match. The table's countdown now counts down on screen -- and stays on the second through the updates that arrive in the middle of one -- and a table whose arena was deleted during the count is told.
- The ready check says "no time limit" instead of "timeout 0s".
- The menu and the HUD have a line for the ready check, the countdown and the pause after a round -- they read "match ended" and "waiting for players".
- Numbers that were not the real ones: mob spawn points "/10" (the limit is a setting), King of the Hill's "N sec" (now the hold time, following the box as it is typed), the count multiplier's "players (up to 4)", "restart required" on the limits, a mob-type limit of 50 instead of the configured one, "hitboxes are disabled on PvP locations" shown in PvE too.
