Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
2.5.0 (2026-07-22)
Added
- Non-nation entry screen: a single "join a nation" flow with three tabs (Browse, Create, Notifications), replacing the old flat browse/create/context-menu split.
- Nation tags now show everywhere a nation is: chat, the tab list, the nation dashboard, browser and leaderboard rows, the diplomacy screen, the war target list, invite tooltips, and the map claim menu.
- Teammates' floating nametags are now colored in your nation's color (only visible to fellow members).
- Premade banner picker: 174 designs across 5 sheets, usable as a one-click starting point you can still edit.
- Banner painter: canvas grew to match the premade pack's resolution, the pole is now baked into saved banner data (previously invisible outside the painter itself), a blank banner now defaults to white instead of transparent, and there's a new eyedropper tool.
- Console/RCON-usable admin claim and unclaim commands, so a chunk can be claimed or freed without a player online to do it.
- Expanded admin commands: /wnadmin is now /wn admin, with new subcommands for nation motd/description/tag/join-policy overrides, clearing a banner, listing or clearing all claims, resetting a nation's diplomacy, forcing a war's winner, player lookup, and server-wide stats.
- Solo (nation-less) players are now capped at 1 claim, with an in-game nudge toward creating or joining a nation.
- Staff-approval gates for war declarations, nation creation, and banner changes now default on, matching what a public release should ship with out of the box.
- wn-discord now reports its live connection status back to WN, so an approval-queue message tells you explicitly when Discord notifications aren't available instead of assuming they'll show up somewhere.
Fixed
- FTB Chunks' claim manager showed the wrong (native default) claim cap instead of your nation's real cap; it now resyncs on nation creation, level-up, and admin claim-cap changes.
- A new nation's founder could occasionally get rejected from the nation they'd just created.
- Six admin nation-setter commands (claims, motd, description, tag, tag-clear, join-policy) silently discarded changes instead of saving them.
- A nation's claim cap could silently revert to default after a restart instead of staying as set.
- Two wars fighting over the same chunk could let one steal or cancel the other's in-progress capture.
- Chunk Capture wars only let the attacker capture chunks, though the mode was always meant to work both ways.
- Objectives wars could be won by repeatedly recapturing a single point instead of holding every objective.
- Attrition and Negotiated wars could keep awarding score to a side after the war had already ended that same tick.
- Several actions (role assignment, proposing/accepting/declining peace) showed up as available in the UI even when the server would have rejected them.
- Disbanding a nation left no record in diplomacy history.
- A rare data-sharing bug could let one part of the game see another's in-progress changes to nation or banner data during the same update.
- The banner painter had no button to open it in-game and always closed straight to gameplay instead of back to the menu you opened it from.
- The premade banner picker's design grid didn't render at all, though it was still clickable underneath.
