Welcome to the Backrooms!

Wanderer in Backroom is a Minecraft mod with long-term development and regular updates planned. Our goal is to bring the entire world of the Backrooms (based on wikidot version: https://backrooms-wiki.wikidot.com) into Minecraft, allowing players to experience its unique atmosphere while offering plenty of gameplay and opportunities for adventure.

If You're a Backrooms Enthusiast

We're working to recreate the Backrooms as faithfully as possible based on the Wikidot wiki! Here, you'll discover all sorts of familiar sights and secrets:

• Level 0: The Threshold is now fully complete! Explore the familiar yellowed wallpaper, damp carpets, and the isolation effect that prevents you from ever encountering another person.
• Explore all the sublevels of the Threshold: the Pillar Hall, the Arch Zone, the Pit Zone, the Lights Out Zone... and the Red Room.
• Familiar substances such as Almond Water and Liquid Pain are here too — in ways you might never expect.
• Search for Manila Rooms in the yellow hell. If you're lucky, you might even encounter a lone Wanderer or a volunteer from the MMF (Manila Mary Foundation).
• Level 1: The Habitable Zone is currently in development!
• Find a diary in a village, then locate an Unstable Block to noclip your way in!

If You're New to the Backrooms

This is your chance to discover the Backrooms! We've designed a complete progression experience for exploring Level 0, with original content added to make the journey even more engaging.

• Enter a new dimension through the mysterious process of noclipping and explore the very first level of the Backrooms.
• Survive and build within the Backrooms, and use the Chaos Distiller to obtain resources!
• Venture into dangerous areas such as the Red Room and the Lights Out Zone to claim valuable rewards!
• Use the Potion of Unyielding, the Position Stabilization Pedestal, and even the Chaos Distiller to support your adventures in the Overworld!

Development Roadmap

We're building the Backrooms dimension one level at a time. During the first phase of development, we plan to complete the Backrooms' twelve major levels before moving on to the sublevels.

In the next level, The Habitable Zone, you'll encounter a greater variety of entities and strange items — and, of course, the legendary M.E.G. Headquarters!
