Villager Wrangler

Villager Wrangler 1.4.0 — Minecraft 26.3

Villager Wrangler has been updated for Minecraft 26.3 and NeoForge.

This is a compatibility release bringing the existing Villager Wrangler feature set to Minecraft 26.3 with no intentional gameplay changes.

Included Features

• Lead adult and baby Villagers using Leads.
• Attract Villagers using Emeralds or custom tagged attraction items.
• Configurable attraction range and movement speed.
• Optional Wandering Trader leading and attraction.
• Optional attraction particle cues.
• Datapack customization through villagerwrangler:villager_attractants.
• Villagers continue to prioritize normal behaviors such as sleeping, working, panic, raids, breeding, trading, and safety over attraction.

26.3 Update

• Added full Minecraft 26.3 / NeoForge compatibility.
• Updated the mod for Minecraft and NeoForge 26.3 API changes.
• Updated world configuration handling for the new syncedconfig system while preserving existing settings and configuration behavior.
• Revalidated Villager Brain integration, Wandering Trader AI, leash behavior, fence knots, attraction items, datapack reloads, particles, and configuration.
• No new gameplay features were introduced.

Validation

• 55/55 automated GameTests passed.
• Graphical client testing passed.
• Dedicated-server testing passed.
• Datapack and reload testing passed.
• Packaged release JAR smoke testing passed.
• 100-Villager performance and cleanup test passed.
• Tracking returned to zero after cleanup.
• No mixins or invasive workarounds were added.

Requires Minecraft 26.3, NeoForge, and the appropriate Java version for Minecraft 26.3.

Players on older Minecraft versions should continue using the corresponding Villager Wrangler releases for 1.21.1, 26.1.2, or 26.2.
