Villager Wrangler 1.4.0 — Forge / Minecraft 26.3

Villager Wrangler is now available for Minecraft Forge!

This release brings the complete Villager Wrangler experience to Minecraft 26.3 using Forge, with the same lightweight gameplay features available on NeoForge and Fabric.

Features

• Lead adult and baby Villagers using Leads.

• Attract Villagers using Emeralds or custom tagged items.

• Configure attraction range and movement speed.

• Optional Wandering Trader leading and attraction.

• Optional particle effects when villagers notice an attraction item.

• Customize attraction items through the villagerwrangler:villager_attractants datapack tag.

• Preserve normal villager trading, working, sleeping, breeding, and safety behaviors.

Forge Compatibility

• Added support for Minecraft 26.3 / Forge.

• Adapted entity interactions, leash handling, Villager AI, and Wandering Trader behavior for Forge.

• Added lightweight synchronization for leading settings, including live server configuration updates.

• Supports native Forge datapack tag customization and reloads.

• No intentional gameplay changes from the existing NeoForge and Fabric releases.

Testing and Validation

• 66/66 automated GameTests passed, including 11 Forge-specific tests.

• Graphical client and dedicated-server testing passed.

• Live configuration synchronization verified.

• Datapack loading and reload testing passed.

• 100-Villager performance and cleanup testing passed.

• No mixins, custom leash systems, or replacement AI.
