Description
Vertical Cut
A coal-powered Rock Tomograph (CRT) in your hand shows a vertical cross-section of the terrain in front of you, in a corner of the screen: caves, water, lava, ores and, on the last tier, living things. Find diamonds, iron and dungeons without digging blindly.
For Minecraft 26.3, Fabric. Requires Fabric API. Needed on client and server.
Six CRTs, each made from the one before
- Stone CRT: crude cave finder; caves, water and lava, no ores, a flickering picture
- Copper CRT: ores as bright dots, a steady picture, one module slot
- Iron CRT: color, twice the range (64×64 blocks), two module slots
- Gold CRT: zoom between 32×32 and 64×64
- Diamond CRT: zoom up to 128×128, three module slots
- Netherite CRT: living things as dots (hostile, neutral, peaceful, players), immune to interference, fire-proof
Coal and modules
- CRTs burn coal (4 minutes per coal, adjustable) and refill themselves from your inventory.
- Coal pouch: a bundle in a module slot feeds the CRT with anything a furnace burns.
- Finder bundle: a bundle with an amethyst shard makes the ores of the samples inside flash; modded ores work through the common
c:tags, a chest finds containers. - Lightning rod: shields against interference from portals and endermen.
- Compass: locks the cut in one direction; a lodestone compass points it at its lodestone.
- Spyglass: looks one picture deeper.
- Depth Gauge: a ruler with Y levels.
An advancement tab with a riddle for every tier, settings in Mod Menu (including a color blind option), and a wiki page for every item.
A rewrite of the original Vertical Cut mod by Konitor for Minecraft 1.5–1.6.
