Vectors 1.4.4

Added

• An optimization-status section in Compatibility, showing applied settings, session counters and Sodium/Iris exclusions.
• A portable benchmark kit with a fixed saved world, hardware reporting and reversed test order.
• Development tools for investigating slow frames and their overlap with JVM pauses and waits.

Changed

• Renamed Vector to Vectors. The mod ID is now vectors.
• Updated the menu branding, control category, resource namespace and JAR filename.
• Existing vector.json settings, exported profiles and the latest 20 benchmark reports are copied to the new configuration paths. Existing Vectors files are preserved, and original Vector files remain available.
• Added a guard against loading Vector and Vectors together.

Validation and known issues

Native, Sodium 0.9.2 and Iris compatibility tests passed. Sodium-specific optimizations remain disabled when Iris is installed.

This is an experimental release, not a confirmed FPS upgrade. A pre-rename 1.4.4 development build recorded a performance regression, and frame-time issues remain unresolved. Published comparison images use the earlier Vector 1.4.3 measurements; they are not new Vectors 1.4.4 benchmarks.

Requires: Minecraft 26.3, Fabric API, Fabric Loader 0.19.5+ and Java 25.
