vcadmin-1.1.0+1.21.1-neoforge.jar
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
VC Admin 1.1.0
VC Admin started as three commands for getting into a locked voice group. This update turns it into something you can actually moderate with — and brings it to Minecraft 1.20.1.
Everything is still server-side. Your players still install nothing.
Minecraft 1.20.1 on Forge
Both versions are now built from the same source, so 1.20.1 and 1.21.1 get every feature at the same time instead of one trailing behind the other.
Change a group without breaking it up
You can now edit a live group. Nobody gets disconnected and everyone's client updates immediately.
- Switch a group between normal, open and isolated
- Set or clear its password — lock a group that got out of hand, or open one someone locked to keep a friend out
- Rename it, hide it from the group browser, make it persistent, or delete it outright
- Create your own, which is handy for a permanent staff channel
Muting
The part that was missing. You can finally stop someone talking instead of only listening to them.
- Mute a player everywhere, group and proximity alike, with a reason. Works on offline players, and they are told they were muted.
- Mute a whole group at once.
- Lockdown silences everybody who is not exempt — for when an event actually needs to start.
- Exemptions carve your staff out of lockdown and group mutes.
/vcadmin muteslists every standing mute with who set it, when, and why.
Mutes, exemptions and lockdown survive a restart. A restart is not an amnesty.
Vanish
/vcadmin vanish on hides you from every group's member list. You still hear everything; your microphone is switched off unless you ask for vanish on speak.
Please read this bit. Until now this mod promised there was no silent monitoring, and the store page said so. That is no longer true, so here is the honest version:
- A normal
/vcadmin joinstill announces itself to the group, exactly as before. Nothing changed there. - Vanish is a separate, deliberate command. It is never the default and never automatic.
- Every join, mute, vanish, lockdown and group change is written to the server log with the name of the operator who did it.
If you told your community that staff can never listen in unannounced, that promise needs updating before you install this. Players forgive a rule they knew about far more easily than one they discover.
Smaller things
- Everything now lives under
/vcadmin(short:/vca), grouped by what you are trying to do /vcadmin listshows each group's type, member count and flags, not just its lock state/vcadmin whois <player>— voice client connected, current group, mute status, who muted them/vcadmin moveand/vcadmin kickfor pushing people in and pulling them out- Group names with spaces work properly now, in commands and in tab completion
- Clearer errors: a missing Simple Voice Chat, a voice server that did not start, and an unsupported version now say which of the three it is
- Tested against Simple Voice Chat 2.6.22 on both Minecraft versions
Upgrading
Drop-in. /vclist, /vcjoin and /vcleave still work exactly as they did, so nothing you or your staff already rely on breaks. There is still no config file to edit.
