📦 VanillaForward

VanillaForward is a mod focused on expanding Minecraft with new mechanics, behaviors, improvements and features that feel natural within vanilla gameplay.

The goal of the mod is to add carefully integrated content, improve existing mechanics and explore ideas inspired by both Java and Bedrock parity, while always preserving Minecraft’s original essence.

The mod is under active development and aims to continue growing constantly through new features, refinements and improvements.

Many future features may emerge from community ideas, always trying to maintain a direction consistent with the vanilla philosophy of the mod.

🔱 Bedrock Parity

Tridents with Bedrock-inspired behavior
Impaling enchantment works against wet creatures, entities in rain or inside water
Riptide and Impaling preserve their Bedrock compatibility behavior
Fully functional trident killers

🌱 World & Interactions

Cauldrons can now fill automatically through water above them or waterlogged blocks
Flowers can spread using bonemeal
Sugar cane can grow using bonemeal
Dropped items can ring bells upon impact

🔥 Fire & Survival

Fire Aspect swords can ignite candles, TNT and campfires
Burning players can ignite candles and campfires while walking over them

❄️ Snow & Environment

Snow layers are now affected by gravity
Snow can progressively accumulate in layers while falling
(WIP) Leaves can turn white during snowfall

🏷️ Experimental Item Tag System (WIP)

Simple and extensible item tag system for adding different types of resistance or immunity to items.

Currently includes support for:

Fire resistance
Void resistance
Cactus resistance
Explosion resistance
Explosion damage immunity
Explosion knockback immunity
Complete immunity tags combining multiple protections

For now, very few items make use of this system by default.

Currently:

Bedrock and Nether Stars use complete immunity
Netherite Ingots possess explosion resistance

This system is designed to be easily expandable and compatible with other mods.

The behavior, balance, possible resistances and which items should use them will depend heavily on community feedback and suggestions.

Tridentes con comportamiento inspirado en Bedrock
Encantamiento de Empalamiento funcional sobre criaturas mojadas, bajo lluvia o dentro del agua
Propulsión Acuática y Empalamiento conservan su compatibilidad como en Bedrock
Trident killers completamente funcionales

🌱 Mundo e Interacciones

Los calderos ahora pueden llenarse automáticamente mediante agua sobre ellos o bloques waterlogged
Las flores pueden propagarse utilizando bonemeal
La caña de azúcar puede crecer usando bonemeal
Los objetos dropeados hacen sonar campanas al impactarlas

🔥 Fuego y Supervivencia

Espadas con Aspecto Ígneo pueden encender velas, TNT y fogatas
Jugadores en llamas pueden encender fogatas y velas al caminar sobre ellas

❄️ Nieve y Ambiente

Las capas de nieve ahora son afectadas por gravedad
La nieve puede acumularse progresivamente en capas al caer
(WIP) Las hojas pueden volverse blancas durante nevadas

🏷️ Sistema Experimental de Tags para Ítems (WIP)

Sistema simple y extensible de tags para añadir distintos tipos de resistencia o inmunidad a ítems.

Actualmente incluye soporte para:

Resistencia al fuego
Resistencia al vacío
Resistencia a cactus
Resistencia a explosiones
Inmunidad a daño por explosiones
Inmunidad al empuje de explosiones
Tags de inmunidad completa que combinan múltiples protecciones

Por ahora, muy pocos ítems utilizan este sistema de forma predeterminada.

Actualmente:

La Bedrock y la Nether Star utilizan inmunidad completa
El lingote de Netherite posee resistencia a explosiones

Este sistema está pensado para ser fácilmente expandible y compatible con otros mods.

El comportamiento, balance, posibles resistencias y qué ítems deberían utilizarlas dependerán en gran parte del feedback y opinión de la comunidad.
