Valor Core 1.0.0
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Valor Core
[1.0.0] - 18/08/2026
Added
- The inventory's almanac shortcut is now the book itself
- A guide now welcomes you to Valor and hands you the almanac
- Pillagers, piglins, witches and evokers have voices now
- The Valor Almanac has been rewritten and much expanded — it now knows the turning of the year, the weight of coin, how the road hardens the further you walk, and what waits behind the gate standing in the woods
- The voices everyone speaks in now ship with Valor Core itself
- RPG Errands' marks are redrawn to match this mod's art, as a pack you can turn off
- Animals that would have run now fight back, and break only once wounded
- Villagers now have work worth doing — twenty-six errands paid in Numismatic coin, from the crows in the barley to steel for the smith
- The Almanac now explains what you can carry and the steel worth carrying it for
- The coin purse now lifts and brightens under the cursor, the way the almanac beside it does
- The almanac is now one click away in the creative inventory too, not just the survival one
- Magic Isn't Real, a ring promising 14,712,992% magic resistance, now drops from anything you kill — and it delivers
- A falling tree can now crush you, and a leaning one may come down the way it is leaning rather than neatly away
- Loading screens now hold a passage from the Almanac beside something out of the world, and the same dressing carries across all four of them
- The guide now waits for you to finish arriving, meets you a few paces off rather than in your face, and calls after you if you have not come over
Changed
- Talking to people is its own mod now — Valor Core needs RPG Dialogue installed alongside it
- Errands are their own mod now — Valor Core needs RPG Errands installed alongside it, and supplies the errands it reads
Fixed
- The guide no longer shoves you aside or blocks a doorway
- The almanac no longer describes things Valor does not have — the nutrition, skills, professions and parties pages are gone, and the Keeper of the Threshold no longer promises them
- The opening page of The Awakening no longer runs off the bottom of the page
- The guide in the welcome window now moves, keeps his own face and has a voice
- The Almanac's opening page no longer loses its last lines off the bottom
- The Almanac no longer spreads short passages across half-empty pages, so there is less of it to turn through
- The Almanac held in your off hand is a readable book again with an animation mod installed, not a flat card
- The Almanac's three section covers now carry their art along the bottom of the page instead of leaving it adrift under the text
