What's new
UpscaleCraft 1.0.0
New
- Temporal: motion adaptive sharpening. Pixels that move on screen or were just revealed
get up to 40 % more sharpening, so the image stays crisper while turning or walking.
Still images look exactly as before.
Config: motion_sharpening (default: true). Has no effect while sharpness is 0.
Features
- Render scale 25-100 % with three upscalers: Bilinear, FSR 1.0 (EASU + RCAS) and Temporal
(own TAAU with FSR-2-style techniques: jitter, reprojection, history clipping,
depth based disocclusion, reactivity mask, entity motion).
- Dynamic resolution: keeps the GPU time of the world pass inside the frame budget of your target FPS.
- Oculus/Iris shader pack support. Temporal is used with shader packs automatically when the
pack's own TAA is off (config: temporal_with_shaders = AUTO / ALWAYS / NEVER).
- Mip bias against blocky foliage at low render scales.
- Settings: "Upscaling..." button in Video Settings, mod list config button, Embeddium tab.
Keybinds: O toggle, [ switch upscaler, ] switch quality preset.
Known limitations
- Fabulous graphics is not supported (the mod renders natively and shows a hint).
- Dynamic resolution with a shader pack can cause single short stutters when the
resolution changes (the shader pack rebuilds its buffers).
- Temporal: leaf wind animation has no motion vectors; particles and block entities
are handled by a reactivity mask.
- Tested so far on NVIDIA only (RTX 5080, 1440p).
