What's new

Universal Adaptive Backporter 1.0.0 — Initial Release

The first release of Universal Adaptive Backporter, formerly Et Futurum Requiem Reforged.

This release significantly expands the original Et Futurum Requiem foundation, introducing modern survival content from Minecraft 1.8 through 1.21.11 while retaining Minecraft 1.7.10's native gameplay and world systems.

Major Additions

  • Expanded modern content coverage through Minecraft 1.21.11, including blocks, items, equipment, progression systems, and gameplay mechanics.
  • Implemented modern mob families, including aquatic wildlife, Illagers, Allays, Wardens, Camels, Sniffers, Armadillos, Breeze, Bogged, Creaking, Copper Golems, Happy Ghasts, Nautiluses, and more.
  • Added modern surface, ocean, mountain, and optional Nether biomes adapted to legacy terrain generation.
  • Introduced native Ancient City and Trial Chamber generation with saved layouts, encounters, loot, and functional structure components.
  • Expanded structure generation with Bastions, Outposts, Trail Ruins, shipwrecks, ocean ruins, and other modern structures.
  • Added survival implementations for archaeology, decorated pots, armor trims, modern smithing, copper mechanics, and newer equipment.
  • Expanded aquatic gameplay with functional fish, ocean vegetation, coral reefs, conduits, and related mechanics.
  • Added modern Nether progression, mobs, vegetation, structures, and resources.
  • Expanded modern rendering, models, sounds, and environmental effects.

Configuration Overhaul

  • Replaced the scattered legacy configuration system with a unified uab.cfg.
  • Organized feature settings by their originating Minecraft update.
  • Added over 350 individual feature switches.
  • Introduced configurable natural spawn weights and group sizes for applicable mobs.
  • Added automatic migration of recognized EFR settings with preserved backups.
  • Improved feature dependency handling and multiplayer configuration consistency.

Stability and Compatibility

  • Removed hard dependencies on HogUtils, FastUtil, GTNHLib, and GTNHExtLib.
  • Preserved legacy registry identities and saved-world compatibility where supported.
  • Improved structure generation safeguards, chunk boundaries, and persistent generation state.
  • Addressed world-loading crashes, rendering issues, mob spawning, potion ID conflicts, and gameplay synchronization.
  • Improved server-authoritative handling of encounters, entity behavior, and world interactions.
  • Updated optional mod compatibility and corrected numerous inherited EFR issues.

Important Notes

  • Requires Forge 1.7.10, Java 8, and UniMixins.
  • Replaces EFR/EFR-R; do not install them alongside UAB.
  • New structures and biomes generate in unexplored terrain.
  • Some features remain adapted or partially implemented due to legacy engine limitations.
  • Back up existing worlds before upgrading.

This initial release establishes UAB as a survival-focused modern content backporter for Minecraft 1.7.10, with further compatibility, refinement, and expansion planned.
