Twitch Spawn

Let your Twitch viewers spawn mobs in your singleplayer world with Channel Points: mystery eggs, random mobs, random animals. Works with modded mobs.

Twitch Spawn

Let your Twitch viewers spawn mobs in your singleplayer world with Channel Points.

Twitch Spawn connects to Twitch through the official API (OAuth Device Code flow — the mod never sees your password) and listens to Channel Point reward redemptions. Each reward you create on Twitch can give you a Mystery Egg, spawn a random mob, or spawn a random passive animal around you.

Not affiliated with or endorsed by Twitch. Twitch is a trademark of Twitch Interactive, Inc.

Features

  • Mystery Egg – a custom item whose mob is hidden. Right-click the ground to hatch a random mob from your list.
  • Egg on a spawner – use the egg on a mob spawner to set it to a random mob.
  • Mystery Spawn – a reward that directly spawns a random mob from the "Mystery" list around you.
  • Animal Surprise – a reward that spawns a random passive animal from the "Passive" list around you.
  • Any mob, any mod – an in-game Mobs screen lists every mob of your modpack, with separate ON/OFF switches for Mystery and Passive. Filter by type (hostile / passive), by mod, or search by name. Bosses are unticked by default (best effort – please review).
  • Blacklist – mobs that can never be spawned (Ender Dragon, Wither, Giant, Warden by default).
  • Direct rules – you can also map any reward title to any specific mob and a count.
  • Safety limits – spawn distance, max alive mobs, max per redemption, minimum delay between spawns, per-viewer cooldown, request expiry, duplicate protection.
  • Stream mode – hides the Client ID, the Twitch account and the pairing code inside the game.
  • Viewer names – spawned mobs can carry the viewer's name.
  • Test buttons – try every rule without Twitch.
  • Auto-reconnect after network drops, Twitch server migrations and expired tokens.
  • Twitch network traffic runs off the game thread; spawns happen on the server tick.

Requirements

  • Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge 47.4.10 (Java 17).
  • A Twitch account that can use Channel Points rewards (Affiliate or Partner).
  • A free Twitch application Client ID created by you at https://dev.twitch.tv/console (public client; no secret needed).

Quick start

  1. Install the mod in your mods folder.
  2. In a singleplayer world, open the mod with the K key (or Options → Twitch Spawn).
  3. Settings → paste your Client ID.
  4. Connect to Twitch → open the page shown, type the code, authorize. The mod only asks for the channel:read:redemptions permission.
  5. On Twitch, create Channel Point rewards whose title exactly matches a rule (default: Oeuf Mystère, Spawn Mystère, Animal Surprise). Titles are editable in the Rules screen.
  6. Pick which mobs are allowed in the Mobs screen.

Settings are stored in config/twitchspawn.json; the Twitch token in config/twitchspawn-token.json (never share it).

Good to know

  • Singleplayer only. Spawns happen in the world of the player who owns the singleplayer game. Dedicated servers are not supported.
  • Only Channel Point rewards trigger spawns (no bits, subs or donations).
  • Redemptions stay pending on Twitch; the mod neither fulfills nor refunds them.
  • The in-game interface is currently in French.
  • Hostile mobs are refused on Peaceful difficulty.
  • Spawning many modded mobs can affect performance – use the limits.
  • The mod has not been tested on every modpack; if something breaks, please report it with your latest.log.

Privacy & security

  • Official Twitch API only; no password, no chat access, a single read-only permission.
  • Disconnect from the mod, or remove it at https://www.twitch.tv/settings/connections.
  • Turn Stream mode on before streaming so nothing sensitive appears on screen.

    Sprout Guard

Stops you from breaking crops that aren't fully grown. Young crops are shown low but covering the whole block, with a tiny hitbox, so gaps are easy to spot and replanting is easy. Hold Shift to break one anyway. Fabric, Minecraft 26.3.
