Description
Chain Brewing
One block, three brewing stands. Set up ingredients for each stage once, and finished potions flow through all three on their own — no standing there swapping ingredients bottle by bottle.
What is this?
The Triple Brewing Stand is three brewing stages built into a single block, laid out side by side in one GUI. Each stage has its own ingredient slot and its own three potion slots. When a stage has nothing left to brew, its potions automatically move into the next stage — so a water bottle can walk through Nether Wart → Redstone → Gunpowder (say) and come out the other end as a splash potion, without you touching it in between.
Drop a hopper under the last stage and one on top of the first, and the whole chain runs itself.
Features
- Three stages, one block — no need to build and wire together three separate brewing stands and a pile of hoppers just to make a multi-step potion.
- Potions flow automatically — a stage passes its potions on to the next stage as soon as that stage is empty and idle, and only when it's fully empty, so two different batches never mix.
- Shared fuel — one Blaze Powder slot fuels all three stages (20 charges per powder, same as vanilla).
- Hopper-friendly — feed ingredients and fuel in from the sides, drop bottles in from above, and pull finished potions out from below, all automatically. Bottles are only released from the last stage once it's done brewing, so a hopper underneath won't rip potions out mid-brew.
- Any item goes in the ingredient slots — including items from other mods. Only items with an actual brewing recipe are consumed and brew something; anything else just sits there and gets passed through by whatever potions flow past it, so hoppers sorting mixed items won't get stuck.
- Uses real brewing recipes — every vanilla potion works, plus recipes added by other mods through Fabric's brewing recipe registry, and it has built-in support for Cobblemon's brewing stand recipes (Medicinal Brew, Potion, Full Restore, and the rest of its recipe list) so it works with a Cobblemon-based pack right out of the box.
- Comparator support — reads out a redstone signal like a chest, based on how full it is.
How to use
- Craft a Triple Brewing Stand (recipe below) and place it.
- Right-click it to open the GUI — you'll see three stages side by side, each with an ingredient slot above and three potion slots below.
- Put water bottles (or other starting bottles) in an early stage's potion slots, and an ingredient in that stage's ingredient slot.
- Add Blaze Powder to the fuel slot (bottom-left of the GUI) to power all three stages.
- Once a stage finishes brewing, its potions move into the next stage automatically — add that stage's ingredient and it keeps going. An empty stage just lets potions pass through untouched.
- Collect the finished potions from the last stage, by hand or with a hopper underneath.
Tip: put the ingredient in before the bottles. If a stage's potion slots fill up before it has an ingredient, the potions will just pass straight through to the next stage instead of waiting there.
