The journal contents are synchronized 1:1 with an admin controlled markdown file.

The default journal's travelers_journal.md open in a text editor, with [page] between pages.
On Minecraft 1.21.6 and later, /journals opens the manager. It lists every journal by title, with Create journal and Reload from files.
The editor sets the book title, the author, Give on first join and the text, with Save, Preview and Give to me.
Preview shows the pages as players will read them, before anything is saved.
