Transport Terminals is a utility mod which allows for easy teleportation travel - even across dimensions.
Modpacks: ANYONE may use this in ANY modpack they like.
Transport Terminals now uses RF to power most things in the mod.
All the RF settings for teleport usage and block storage are configurable.
However if you do not have any RF - don't panic!
The mod will check and if the RF lib is not available it will work without it.
History:
This mod was written for personal use on my server. Upon spawning in a new (heavily modded) world, myself and a few friends decided we would travel in different directions of about 1000 blocks. This idea was so we could avoid resource stripping in and around each of our bases. This idea initially worked well and everyone had a big enough area to mine and build without clashing. The one problem with this we found, as we all progressed and discovered different things, it was difficult to find each other on the map. The style of play we have adopted is very much co-op. Sharing new things and exploring together was difficult. Other mods were installed that allowed for us to travel by flying mounts, this however resulted in many new chunks being generated and we often would get lost. One day I decided enough was enough. I needed a quick and easy way of moving from location to location without all the fuss. With the help of my friend ganymedes01, we decided to write a mod which could achieve this.
The brief I set - to keep things simple and not go the route of mini maps or magical dimension mods:
Players can store any location they have been onto “Chips”.
These chips are stored in a “Console” and can be removed, stored, or used in any other console.
Locations are sent to the console using a “Remote” and stored on the chips.
A remote should be linked with a console and allow the player to teleport to that console from anywhere.
After using this solidly on my server with good feedback, I thought other people may find it useful. Hence, well, this...
There are 3 things you will need to craft in order to use this mod:
The Transport Terminal Console.
A Transport Terminal Remote.
A bunch of Transport Terminal Chips.
Setup:
After crafting all the necessary bits, place the console block down where you want it. (make sure you leave an empty space x1 block by x2 blocks high in front of the console). Next, right click on the console block. This will open the console main GUI. In the GUI you will see, on the left side, 2 slots and an arrow. Place your remote in to the top slot and drag the remote from the bottom slot out. This has now linked your remote to that console. Now, when you right click that remote, you will be teleported directly to that console. Good stuff. Next, grab some of the chips you made and start filling the 2 rows of other slots. Each one of those slots has a button above or below it. Your Transport Terminal set up is now ready to use.
Basic Usage:
To save a location you wish to teleport back to just Sneak + Right Click with the remote on a block.
If you have blank chips in your console a text box ‘naming’ GUI will open for you.
After typing the location name - just click the ‘save’ button on the top left.
The location will be saved to the console and recorded on the 1st available blank chip.
To teleport back to a location saved on to a chip open the console GUI and press
the button for the slot which contains the chip. Simple.
Wireless Console Interface.
The Wireless Console Interface is crafted like this:
This Item is linked to Consoles in exactly the same way standard remotes are.
Wireless interfaces are not used for recording they do however allow you to access it's linked console's chips and functions.
Once a Wireless interface has been liked with a console if you right click it, it will open the gui of it's linked console.
Chip Utilities Block. Copy, Erase and Advanced Chip Usage.
The Chip Utilities Block is can be crafted thusly:
This Block will allow you to edit chip usage by Copying Chips, Erasing old used Chips and Naming Player chips for advanced usage. All three functions have an associated button in the gui.
Copying Chips
Sometimes it's nice to have backups, consoles in different locations with the same chip or even share locations.
All chips can be copied in the Chip Utilities Block by placing the original in the 1st slot and an equivalent 'blank' version in the 2nd slot.
Press the copy button and the data will be applied from the 1st chip to the second. Easy.
Erasing Old Chips
Placing a used chip in the left slot and clicking erase will blank the chip and move it to the second slot.
This will work with both Standard Chips and Player Chips.
Advanced Usage
By placing a blank Player Location Chip in the 1st slot and then pressing 'name' you will be prompted with a GUI. This GUI is used to record a player's name to the chip. Player location chips are used for teleporting to a player's location, if used in a console, or teleporting players to a Player Summoner Block.
Player Summon Block and Player Location Chips.
Player Chips are crafted like this:
Player Location chips are used for teleporting to players and teleporting players to your location. The player chips can be named in the Chip Utilities Block or you can use an Anvil if you want to spend XP.
The main block is crated like so:
This block was made in order that player rescue is possible (not for griefing). The block and player chips can be disabled in the mod's configuration file - just in case...
By placing an already recorded player location chip in to the Player Summon Block and pressing the 'Teleport' button, the named player will be teleported from their location to the location of the block. If the Player Location chip is placed in a Console Block the opposite effect is achieved and you will be teleported to the current location of the player on the chip.
RF Charger Block.
This Block is an RF only option. It must be powered by RF.
The block itself is crafted like this:
Redstone, Gold, Quartz, Lapiz Blocks & 4 Standard Chips.
This block will charge any RF items that are placed in to it, if it has sufficient power in it.
There are 6 slots available for use.

could you please update this mod to a later version so i can use it in my 1.12.2 pack please
any plans on updating this wonderful mod to a latest version or will this mod remain at 1.7.10??
hi we like this mod but when we come back from the nether or the end our xp is gone or it's been reset to 0 can you see you can fix it
I love your mod. I use it in every mod pack I play. Can't imagine MC without it. :-)
Hello,
I'm glad you are enjoying the mod. Thank you for your support :)
Cheers,
Me.
I am still using and loving this mod. I started playing more often on a LAN with my nephew and have been having crashes using the wireless console. A lot of crashes. It seems the part of your code responsible for chunk loading the block is timing out or something. Is there a minimum distance the terminals should be apart from each other? I am using them as a close proximity local transport system. Here is the crash report. http://pastebin.com/X90SctW8
Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having problems. I've not had any problems like that myself.
Could you possibly post that crash report again as the link has expired.
Cheers,
Me.
I most certainly will. I have been playing a more simplified modpack lately. I have recently discovered that Mouse Tweaks mod has introduced some unstable code for the right click. I think that might have something to do with it. But next time I'm on that pack and it happens I'll post it. :-)
Great mod, everything is works very well, so far. Thanks for such useful thing like teleporting.
I haven't downloaded this one yet, but intend to try it out soon. I just wanted to drop you a line and say that THIS is exactly how one of these pages should look. You provide lots of information about your mod, what it does (I'm amazed at how many I look at and can't even figure out what it's supposed to do or how), recipes, what it adds...I know everything I needed to decide if I wanted to try out it quickly and easily. Thank you for that!
No problem :)
Not many people use this mod by the looks of things, I actually do use it myself on a personal server with friends. I hope you enjoy the mod.
when will this mod move out of beta? or even get updated?
Released a little bugfix update - I would like to make more of this mod but it isn't that popular :(
1.7.10, Forge 10.13.3.1420
The remote does bring me back to the console when right clicking. When shift-right clicking a chip does get marked in the console with the appropriate dimension and coordinates. However, none of the devices aside from the remote seem to be able teleport me anywhere else. When clicking the button above a marked chip (going to another spot in the Overworld) nothing happens. The same with using the remote console (though that makes sense) and the summoning pad.
the same thing, buttons don't work.
I am not able to link any places to my terminal
I have terminal placed, terminal is full of empty chips. Remote is linked, I can rt click to transport back to terminal. Remote and terminal are both powered.
When I try to link a spot(aim reticle at block, hold shift, rt-click), I hear a sound, but nothing else happens. No GUI opens to name spot. When I use the wireless console from same location it opens terminal GUI but all the chips are still empty
Not sure if I am doing something wrong
Hello,
It sounds like you are doing everything correctly. I'm not sure what could be causing that. There was a bug with RF in the last version which caused a similar behavior - but this was fixed in the 1.0c release. If you can, could you please tell me if this happens to you in single player mode or multiplayer? I will look in to this.
Cheers,
Me.
This issue occurred on previous b version. I updated to c version yesterday before making my post here, hopeing that would fix it, but the issue persists.
I am playing SSP currently but usually am on a SMP server
