Description

Every mob, on a card. Trading Cards gives every mob in your game its own collectible card, showing its real 3D model. Mobs drop their cards, booster packs turn up in chests, and every pack is a little gamble: will this be the one with the shiny Netherite Warden?
Full guide, and the card format for pack makers: hardlineinteractive.com/mods/trading-cards
Rip open a pack
Hold to open it and the lid lifts, with light pouring out in the colour of the best card inside. Let go and it sinks shut again, so you can tease it as long as your nerves hold. Tear it open and the cards come up one at a time, rarest last: rare ones glow, tremble or smoulder face down before you flip them, and the rarest get a hush, a flash and a fanfare.
What's in it
- 155 cards in eight sets. Overworld, Nether, The End, Deep Waters and Bosses & Raiders (every vanilla mob), plus Variants (every cat, wolf, frog, axolotl, parrot and rabbit, sheep colours, babies, a charged creeper...) and two seasonal sets that only drop in season: Spooky Season (1 October to 7 November) and Winter Wonderland (1 December to 7 January).
- Five rarities, Copper to Netherite, and any card can be a shimmering Prismatic foil.
- Numbered prints. Every Prismatic and Netherite card gets a server-wide print number: pulling #001 is bragging rights forever, and the whole server hears about it.
- Card Binder. Every set with silhouettes for the cards you're missing, a reward for each set you finish, your pull history, your Collection Score and your rank on the server.
- Safe trading. Sneak and right-click a friend to open a trade; both confirm, and any change locks it for two seconds, so nobody gets swapped at the last moment.
- Card Shop. Trade in your duplicates for shards, buy packs, and craft the cards you're missing.
- Card Dealer. A villager who works at the Card Shop and sells packs, rarer ones as they level up.
- Show them off. Card Stands, item frames, and the Set Display: hang it on a wall and it shows a whole set, with gold trim once it's complete.
- Leaderboards and 16 advancements, from your first pull to a complete collection.
For pack makers and modders
- Everything is datapack JSON: cards, sets, rarities, packs, drop chances, shop prices and where packs turn up. Add a set for any mod without code.
- Modded mobs get cards automatically, with a rarity based on their health and scenery to match.
/tradingcards problemslists every mistake in your card files.- An API and events for other mods (markets, profiles, museums), documented on the guide.
- JEI, EMI and Jade: see which mob drops each card and how often, what every pack holds and its odds.
Works with Hardline's other mods
All optional: Daily Calendar adds a Card Collector calendar, Noticeboard jobs can ask for cards, Body Language gives you a Big Pull! celebration and a Show Off a Card emote, and Hindsight marks and clips your big pulls.
