Curse Maven Snippet
0.6.0 - Surf n' Turf
- Fishing! Fisherman can now fish if given a fishing rod. If you have Starcatcher installed, your fisherman will use the Starcatcher rod. They use the same fishing loot table than you do, so any supported fish mods will be supported out of the box. Want to give it a nice spot for your fishermen to fish? You can now build docks, with the recipe available in the catalog, that will become their favoured spot to fish from.
- Butchering! The Butcher profession has been rewritten, and will be more reliable out of the box. But where it really shines is if you install Butchery you will unlock a number of new butcher related buildings, everything from butcher shops, slaughterhouses, smokery, tannery, and a slaughter pen where livestock can be automatically slaughtered by the butcher, and brought to a slaughterhouse for skinning and processing.
- Speaking of livestock, Shepherding! Shepherds, if given shears, will shear any sheep in your livestock pen (not the slaughter pen!), and bring the wool they collect to the new Wool Shed.
- What about the skins from the butchering process? Leatherworking is expanded, particularly if you have the Butchery mod. Leatherworkers will cure hides in the tannery and convert them in to leather. More features will come as we keep expanding Townstead.
- 0.6.0 also introduces Community Spirit, a new mechanic that captures the spirit of your village. If you put down a lot of pastoral buildings, the pastoral spirit will define your town and give it pastoral specific titles. There are other spirits that will help shape it, such as martial, scholar, haunted, nautical, etc. Currently, this does not do anything, but in future expansions, this will influence dialogue, decoration needs, the type of visitors and opportunities available to your village, to make each village fit a theme (or multiple if you have many building types!)
- One thing that does get affected by Community Spirit now is Traveler's Titles. If you have it installed, you will see your village's name appear when you enter your village, and the subtitle will be your Community Spirit.
- Villagers will no longer try to eat harmful foods (like puffer fish, rotten meat, or spider eyes)
- New visual effects when adding/upgrading buildings
- Townstead now has support for Farmer's Delight >= 1.3
- Modpack authors can customize the catalog background and colors in resource packs (specific instructions will come in soon, ping me in the meantime on Discord.)
- Needs are now disablable individually. In 1.21.1 or if you have Configured you can do so in the config, in 1.20.1, in your config:
[needs.hunger] enableVillagerHunger = false[needs.thirst] enableVillagerThirst = false[needs.fatigue] enableVillagerFatigue = false
Bug Fixes
- Fix for vanilla catalog not showing the icons properly.
- Fix for field post claim not respecting the assigned seed at claim time.
- Optimized performance of the blueprint loading, particularly for large villages.
- MCA TTS now works again.
- RPG dialogue is more forgiving of rumours that take a while to show up.
- Let's Do Farm & Charm tomatoes now show up in the Field Post crops.
- Villagers will no longer eat mature crops by default, both for optimization and gameplay reasons.
- Complaints ("There's no field post! I'm missing a knife!") have been tightened up and hopefully the false positives are reduced or gone.
