Too Many Bows - 1.21.11 Update

This update ports all new 1.21.1 features of Too Many Bows to 1.21.11 and includes a large round of compatibility, config, entity, rendering, and crash fixes.

Added / Ported

  • Ported Gravewire Bow.
  • Ported Soulhoard Bow.
  • Ported Vaultpiercer Bow.
  • Added Soul Lantern and Cursed Lantern support.
  • Added new arrow/projectile entities for the newly ported bows.
  • Added equipped lantern rendering support for Curios and Trinkets.

Improved

  • Continued converting bow configs to the new JSON config system.
  • Updated Curios and Trinkets support for 1.21.11.
  • Updated lantern equipped rendering to use the newer item model/render-state system.
  • Added support for equipped Blockbench lantern models.
  • Improved custom arrow handling to prevent null projectile stack crashes.
  • Updated inventory scanning for newer Minecraft inventory access changes.
  • Improved dedicated server compatibility by moving client-only renderer code out of common setup.

Fixed

  • Fixed crashes caused by custom arrows and compatibility mods such as Mob AI Tweaks.
  • Fixed dedicated server startup crashes caused by client-only classes loading on the server.
  • Fixed outdated command permission checks.
  • Fixed multiple 1.21.11 API changes involving entity save data, registry lookups, effects, rendering, and inventory access.
  • Fixed equipped lantern orientation so it now renders correctly on the player.
  • Fixed save/load handling for several custom entities, including Vault Portal, Soulhoard Arrow, Hoarded Skull, and Gravewire Mark.

Notes

This update required several internal rewrites due to major Minecraft 1.21.11 changes, especially around item models, Curios/Trinkets rendering, and entity save data.
