My wife wanted a newer mermaid mod, so I created one.  It's still being developed, so if you have any recommendations or errors, let me know and I will do my best to fix them.  I present to you Tidebound, ENJOY!!!

🏰 Explore living underwater kingdoms with themed districts, detailed homes, balconies, towers, arches, cliff homes, gardens, merchants, guards and royal residents.

🧜 Discover eight merfolk lineages: Reef, Pearl, Abyssal, Kelpweaver, Sunscale, Stormfin, Frostveil and Tideborn Royal. Trade, build court reputation, complete quests, unlock equipment and train merfolk companions.

📿 Transform with eight necklace families. Equipped necklaces activate animated tails in water and provide aquatic abilities. Use the optional Curios necklace slot, or the supported chest-slot fallback.

🎨 Customize tails with up to four colors, blending smoothly from waist to tip while retaining their detailed shape and shading.

🐎 Transform your horse into an armored seahorse with Tidal Morph Horse Armor. Water abilities include swimming, breathing protection, rider night vision and a sprint dash.

🐬 Bond with aquatic companions, ride court Nautilus mounts, encounter custom fish appearances and find Wandering Tideguides.

⚔️ Face Dreadfins and sea witches, explore rare Dreadfin outposts and earn court weapons, shields, shell gear and royal rewards.

🌿 Harvest underwater plants and foods, decorate with underwater furniture, and build with themed materials, lights, slabs, stairs and animated coral chests.

🛠️ Includes recipe fixes, rarer kingdom necklaces, waterlogged replanting, tail-rendering improvements, night-vision refresh fixes and generation/cache optimizations.

🐎 Crafting Tidal Morph Horse Armor

Use a normal crafting table:

Tame a horse, then right-click your horse with the armor. It changes into an armored seahorse when it touches water and returns to horse form when it leaves.

• Look up or down while moving to rise or dive.
• Space: rise.
• Shift: dismount.
• Sprint to use the dash; it has a five-second cooldown.
• Feed it Seared Moonkelp, Roasted Coralberries or Grilled Pearl Lettuce to heal it and grant two minutes of land speed, jump and resistance boosts.

📿 Crafting Necklaces

All recipes use a normal crafting table. Each row below lists the three slots from left to right. “—” means leave that slot empty.

💡 Empty-hand right-click a city merfolk to trade for starter materials, including Luminous Pearls. JEI can display the crafting recipes when installed.

🎨 Crafting and Using the Mermaid Dye Table

Craft it at a normal crafting table:

1. Place the Mermaid Dye Table.
2. Hold your necklace in your main hand and a dye in your offhand.
3. Right-click the table to add the first color.
4. Repeat with up to three more dyes. Colors follow the order waist → upper-middle → lower-middle → tip, with smooth transitions.
5. A fifth dye is rejected without being consumed. With fewer than four colors, the last color continues down the remaining tail.
6. Use a water bucket in your offhand, with the necklace in your main hand, and right-click the table to reset its colors.

• Equip a necklace and enter water to transform.
• Show a Compass to a Wandering Tideguide for kingdom directions.
• Use Luminous Pearls to tame and train merfolk.
• Use sneak-right-click or the Royal Conch for companion commands.
• Cook harvested kingdom foods by smelting or smoking.
• Read the Tidebound Chronicle and follow the advancement tree for progression.
