## Requirements
- Minecraft 1.21.1
- NeoForge 21.1 or newer
- Legendary Survival Overhaul 2.4 or newer
Mekanism is optional. If Mekanism is installed, the Air Conditioner becomes an
energy-powered machine that accepts power from Mekanism cables. Without
Mekanism it works without electricity.
Both NeoForge Energy and Mekanism's native strict-energy capability are exposed
on every side, allowing Universal Cables to connect directly to the unit.
The unit can also be mounted directly against any Mekanism Universal Cable or
Energy Cube; these blocks count as valid supports even when their shape does not
provide a normal sturdy face.
Install the built JAR on both the server and every client. The first launch
creates `config (modname)common.toml`.
## How it works
1. Craft and place an Air Conditioner.
2. Face the front of the unit into a closed room.
3. Keep the room sealed. Open doors and openings to the outside prevent the
controller from activating.
4. Every player inside the detected room is held at the configured perfect
temperature (20 by default) at the configured rate.
With Mekanism installed, the unit stores 100,000 FE by default and consumes 20
FE/t only while it is regulating at least one player. Both values are
configurable. Right-clicking an unpowered unit reports its stored energy.
The enclosure requirement, maximum room distance, maximum room volume, scan
interval, perfect temperature, temperature-change rate, energy capacity, and
energy use are configurable.
## Configurable recipe
The Air Conditioner recipe can be changed in
`config/(modname)-common.toml` with `craftingPattern`,
`craftingIngredients`, and `craftingResultCount`. Each pattern row is three
characters wide. Ingredient entries use `SYMBOL=item_id`; prefix an ID with
`#` to use an item tag, and separate alternatives with `|`. Vanilla and modded
items are supported. Restart the server or run `/reload` after changing it.
The default recipe is:
```text
Iron Ingot Redstone Iron Ingot
Cooler Thermometer Heater
Iron Ingot Iron Bars Iron Ingot
```
## Model
The Air Conditioner uses a purpose-built Minecraft low-poly model with a solid
wall-mounted casing, front control display, status light, and lower air vent.
