The Scourge Ascending is a unique content mod for Minecraft, offering new stages of progression.
Vanilla biomes have been improved with new structures and mobs for the avid adventurer to discover and explore.
The luminescent (or formerly, healing) cavern biome has received an overhaul! New flora and fauna have been introduced to the biome, and new, larger variations can spawn. There is a new mechanic themed around the unique mob, and you can find these easier!
Expect your sub-desert spelunking adventure to get even better with many generated dungeons to explore. You can stumble across single rooms, or vast, sprawling dungeons filled with enemies, traps, and loot. The biggest variations even have a mini-boss!
The second underground zone to be updated, these arid tunnels beneath the desert are filled with clusters of sandstone, pots to loot, brass to mine, and even a batch of new structures, explained in the next image.

Builders, you have many new blocks to look forward to. These blocks introduce new color palettes and designs to spruce up any kind of build. Some of them even have special effects, like glowing in the dark!

Delve into the deepest caves of the jungle to find cool loot! Watch out though, don't poke yourself on brambles! Also look out for a couple new structures! But beware, there are things down here that would take an opportunity to get some fresh prey...

About the smaller mod? It's called Advanced, and it adds some vanilla advancements.

"The Scourge Ascending" is a unique kind of Minecraft content mod. This mod extends the vanilla progression system past the Ender Dragon, adding new content even after the Ender Dragon has been defeated. This mod also takes pride in it's vast array of weapons, tools, and armor, each with a unique ability and concept, With over 40 weapons and counting, there is much to choose from to suit your needs. Like huge swords that deal extreme DPS? No problem, I got you. Enjoy bows that bring the wrath of storms upon your foes? I got the perfect weapon for you. All of the weapons and armor are balanced and designed to add more variety to combat progression. Not only that, it improves upon many vanilla aspects of the game, improving existing biomes with new structures, ores, and mobs for the avid adventurer to discover. Ever get tired of just the Ender Dragon and Wither? Don't worry, I have your back. This mod adds 2 new bosses with unique designs, AIs, and drops. Plus, defeating the aforementioned vanilla bosses yields new rewards! Neat!
Not quite an adventurer? Do you prefer building? Well, this mod adds a bit of that, too! It caters to builders with over 52 new blocks to spice up your builds! Each block design is unique, and can add some new life to your builds!
This mod also adds some convenience in the form of several items to improve vanilla gameplay. Of course, these are balanced, as to be not too overpowered.
This mod currently includes:

~New weapons for more variety to combat
~New tools to make harvesting more unique
~More sets of armor with adverse special abilities, protect yourself better without boring old vanilla armor progression
~More food items for dieting and obscure references
~More potions
~More misc. items for crafting, planting, adventuring, or summoning adversaries
~A new transportation item
~More new blocks
~New growable plants to add variety to sparse biomes
~New mobs to add challenge to the game and improve biomes
*If you don’t know about recipes/items in the mod, I currently do not have an active database, the best bet would be installing JEI for 1.15.2 or other similar recipe browser mods.
All in all, this mod is here to make your Minecraft playing experience more fun, so if you are feeling bored or want to change things up, please give this mod a try!
