Design elaborate buildings within a minute. Draw a ground plan out of rooms, towers and roofs; the mod decorates it with walls, windows, roofing and detail in the theme you picked; choose a block palette; then print the result straight into your world or save it as a schematic.
This is a maintained, open-source (MIT) port of simibubi's original The Mighty Architect. The themes, designs and the core idea are his; this port keeps them working on current Minecraft versions, on Fabric, NeoForge and Forge.
How it plays
- Press G to open the architect menu. Everything happens from there — no items or recipes.
- Compose: pick a theme (Medieval, Modern, Town House or Cattingham Palace), then click in the world to place rooms and towers, stack floors with the scroll wheel, and reshape or re-roll parts of the ground plan. A blueprint-tinted preview shows the building as you go.
- Choose materials: open the palette picker and click a palette; the preview repaints with those blocks. You can build your own palettes and save them.
- Finish: print the building into the world, or save it as an
.nbtstructure file for structure blocks or other schematic tools.
Multiplayer
The mod is client-side: you can design, preview and save schematics on any server.
- Printing into the world needs operator permission, the same bar as
/setblock. On a server without the mod it places blocks with ordinary commands, batched and rate-limited. - Servers can optionally install it too. Printing then uses the mod's own packets — much faster, no command spam — and is allowed for creative-mode players or operators. Every placement is checked against the world border, spawn protection, land claims, reach and a per-player budget.
What this port changes from the original
- Versions and loaders: Fabric on every supported version, NeoForge from 1.20.3, and Forge on 1.19.4 and 1.20.1 — Minecraft 1.19.4, 1.20 – 1.20.6, 1.21.1, 1.21.4, 1.21.6, 1.21.8, 1.21.10, 1.21.11, 26.1, 26.2 and 26.3, all from one codebase.
- Security: earlier ports accepted build packets from any player. Building is now limited to creative mode or operators, and every placement is validated server-side (see Multiplayer).
- Multiplayer printing without the mod on the server, through normal commands.
- Your data in one place: your own themes and palettes live in
<game folder>/mightyarchitect/, copied there on first launch; the originals are left untouched. Resource packs can ship complete themes underassets/mightyarchitect/themes/<name>/. - Fixes and robustness: large buildings are processed over several ticks instead of freezing the game, blueprint rendering and the save/print flows were reworked for modern Minecraft, and every release is tested automatically on every supported version, including a real in-game client test.
- No extra library: only Fabric API is needed on Fabric; nothing else on NeoForge or Forge.
Each file lists exactly the Minecraft versions it was built and tested for — pick the file that matches your version.
Server admins: do not run a build older than 2.0.0 on a server; those accepted build packets from any player without checking permissions.
Bug reports are welcome on the project's issue tracker (please include your Minecraft version and loader).
