Weapon Leveling

Weapon Leveling is a server-authoritative progression mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge. Every weapon and armor piece carries its own XP and level, growing stronger through combat.

Features

• Per-item progression: every weapon and armor piece has separate, persistent XP and levels.
• Kill-only weapon XP: weapon XP comes only from kills, never from damage dealt or hit count.
• Supports swords, axes, maces, tridents, bows, crossbows, and compatible modded combat equipment.
• Data-driven compatibility for modded weapons, including Simply Swords, Spartan Weaponry Unofficial, ArmorPlus, and #c:tools weapon tags.
• Base-relative damage growth: powerful modded weapons remain powerful instead of converging on one flat damage value.
• Default progression: level 0 to 500, with an exponential XP curve and an ×11 maximum damage multiplier.
• Level scaling includes weapon damage, vanilla/modded enchantment damage, mace smash damage, trident attacks, and compatible spear projectiles.
• Armor gains XP when you take damage and can gain configurable Armor bonuses.
• Broken gear stays in the world instead of disappearing at zero durability. Repair it in an anvil with one valid material to restore 1 durability.
• Server-authoritative multiplayer settings, admin commands, tooltips, keybinds, and an in-game WL settings button.
• Optional Jade integration for showing level and XP on dropped levelable equipment.

Multiplayer

Install the same Weapon Leveling version on the server and all clients. Server owners control shared gameplay settings; guests can view locked values but cannot change them.

Beta Notice

This is the first public beta. Balance values and compatibility with unusual modded weapons are actively being refined. Please include your Minecraft/NeoForge version, full mod list, latest.log, reproduction steps, and screenshots or video in bug reports.
