Create: Propellers
Short summary (Modrinth/CurseForge one-liner)
Seven new propellers for Create and Create Aeronautics: tiered, large, marine and variable pitch. They work in air and under water.
Description
Create: Propellers expands Create Aeronautics with a full family of propellers. They push entities like Create fans and, on Aeronautics physics structures, push the whole ship.
They are built on Aeronautics' own propeller classes, so they use kinetic stress, can be reversed with a wrench, show their data on Engineer's Goggles and make airflow particles, like the propellers you already know.
Propellers
- Copper Propeller: a cheap two-blade starter propeller.
- Brass Propeller: a balanced three-blade propeller.
- Industrial Iron Propeller: a strong four-blade propeller for heavier builds.
- Netherite Propeller: a five-blade upgrade of the Industrial Iron Propeller (smithing) that works in air and under water.
- Marine Propeller: a ducted ship screw made for water. It pushes hard under water and not at all in air.
- Variable Pitch Propeller: set the blade pitch from -100% to +100% with the value panel, and feather the blades with an analog redstone signal (15 means no thrust).
- Large Propeller: a huge propeller that sweeps a 5x5 disc. Keep the disc clear: a solid block inside it jams the blades.
Air and water
Every propeller works in both air and water, each with its own efficiency. Air propellers still turn under water but only give a fraction of their thrust. Engineer's Goggles show the current medium and efficiency, and warn you when a propeller cannot produce thrust.
