What's new

The Forgotten Gates 2.2.0

NEW — Unlock by advancement

  • Each mod now has a ☀ / ★ button in the /gates screen: ☀ = unlocks after a number of in-game days (for everyone) ★ = unlocks when the player earns a specific advancement (each player on their own)
  • Advancement picker with search: every visible advancement from Minecraft and all your mods
  • Chat announcement when a player breaks a seal: "✦ Player broke the seal of Create!"

NEW — Randomizer (operators)

  • Days: every mod gets a random number of days (1 to 100 by default)
  • Advancements: every mod gets a random advancement, with a full dependency check — a mod is never locked behind an advancement that requires itself or another mod that depends on it, so there is never a loop
  • Chaos: each mod randomly gets either days or an advancement
  • The result is shown as a proposal: tweak it if you want, then click Save
  • Challenge advancements are excluded by default (can be enabled in the config)

NEW — New world setup screen

  • On first join of a new world, operators (or the player in single player) choose how mods unlock: same days for all, random days, random advancements, chaos, all free, or manual setup
  • "Later" closes the screen; it comes back on next login until a choice is made

OTHER

  • Warning when manual settings create an impossible advancement loop
  • New config options: random_min_days, random_max_days (100), random_include_challenges, chaos_advancement_chance
