Tepox Dehydrator Gun
Tepox Dehydrator Gun is a small mod inspired by the dehydration gun from Megamind. It adds a new weapon capable of turning mobs into compact Dehydrated Cubes, making them much easier to transport.
When a compatible mob is hit by the Dehydrator Gun, it is stored inside a cube while preserving important entity data such as its name, health, equipment and other properties.
To bring the mob back, simply throw the Dehydrated Cube into a source block of water and the mob will be rehydrated.
Recharging the Dehydrator Gun
The Dehydrator Gun does not use durability. Instead, it runs on Bluestone Energy Batteries.
The gun can hold a maximum of 10 shots, and each Bluestone Energy Battery restores 2 shots.
To recharge it:
- Place a Dehydrator Charging Station in the world.
- Open the station.
- Place the Dehydrator Gun in the left slot.
- Place Bluestone Energy Batteries in the right slot.
- Wait for the charging process to finish.
Each battery takes approximately 5 seconds to process and is consumed once the gun receives its two additional shots.
The station will not waste a battery if the gun does not have enough room for all two shots.

Crafting the Dehydrator Gun
The Dehydrator Gun is assembled from three specialized components:
- Channeling Barrel
- Bluestone Storage
- Bluestone Coil
These components must first be crafted separately.

Dehydrated and Rehydrating Mobs
To deydrate a mob only shot him with the pistol.
Every Dehydrated Cube contains the mob that was captured by the gun. To restore it, throw the cube directly into a source block of water. (The cube will be consumed and the stored mob will return with its saved properties)

Configurations
The mod includes several configuration options that can be adjusted either directly from the Mods configuration menu or manually through the generated dehydration_config.json file. You can change the maximum health limit for mobs that can be dehydrated, manage a blacklist of mobs that should never be affected, and create a whitelist for mobs that should always be affected even if their health is above the normal limit. Entity IDs from both vanilla Minecraft and other mods are supported, making it easy to adapt the mod to different modpacks. Changes made in the menu can be saved directly, while edits made to the JSON file are loaded automatically when Minecraft starts.
