What's new

Changelog — 1.3.0

New: Echoes — Your Past Life Returns

When you rebirth, your old life is snapshotted and returns as an Echo: a hostile, towering copy of you.

It uses your player skin, bears your name, and casts skills from the life you left behind.

  • Echo health, damage, and size scale with the EP your old life had

  • Echoes can appear near their owner at a configurable chance and interval

  • Anyone can encounter and fight an Echo

  • Whoever lands the killing blow earns a coin bounty scaled to the Echo’s strength

  • Coin bounties are configurable and require Tensura Restricted

  • Echoes grant no EP

  • Echoes drop no skills

  • The bounty is their only reward

  • Starting from your second rebirth, slaying your own Echo is required before rebirthing again

  • The Echo requirement is enabled by default and can be disabled

  • /rebirth echo summons your pending Echo so you can face it on your own terms

  • Manual Echo summoning can also be disabled

Rebirths Now Count as Tensura Resets

Rebirthing now raises Tensura’s reset counter to match your rebirth level.

This is controlled by the new syncResetCounter option and is enabled by default.

Systems that depend on Tensura’s reset counter, such as Gacha Start’s per-reset bonuses, now treat every rebirth as a reset.

  • Players who rebirthed before this version have their reset counter corrected automatically when they join

  • Skill-lock calculations now account for slots granted by the resetPerSkillLock gamerule

  • Total available slots will always match the configured rebirth curve

Boss Requirements Reworked — Per-Level Pools

Boss requirements now work like the skill and race pools.

Requirements are configured per rebirth level, with every level automatically including all requirements from the levels below it.

  • Existing configurations migrate automatically

  • No manual configuration changes are required

  • The staff editor’s Bosses tab now uses the same level browser as the skill and race pools

  • Use the level arrows to move between levels

  • Use + Level to add a level

  • Use × Level to remove a level

  • The player-facing Bosses tab now shows the complete kill checklist for the next rebirth

  • Later rebirth levels only show the additional bosses introduced at that level

GUI Improvements

  • Skill Pool entries are sorted alphabetically within each level

  • Race Pool entries are sorted alphabetically within each level

  • Entries keep a fixed position while scrolling instead of jumping between columns

  • Added a search bar to the Skill Pool, Race Pool, and Bosses tabs

  • Searches filter entries by name or ID

New Staff Commands

  • /rebirth complete <player> forces a player through their next rebirth, skipping all requirements and the coin fee while still running the full normal rebirth process

  • /rebirth clear <player> echo marks the player’s Echo requirement as completed

  • /rebirth clear <player> bosses marks all required bosses as slain

  • /rebirth clear <player> all marks all stuck rebirth requirements as completed

  • /rebirth clear <player> boss <id> marks a single required boss as slain, with tab completion showing only the bosses that player still needs

Fixed: Pet Kills Counting as Boss Kills

Subordinate, tamed, and summoned entity kills no longer count toward rebirth boss requirements.

Boss credit is now only awarded when the player lands the killing blow directly or kills the boss using their own projectile.

Fixed: Skill Locks Panel Not Showing

Fixed the Skill Locks panel disappearing when using:

  • Large GUI scales

  • Small game windows

  • Interface mods that reduce available screen space

The rebirth window now shifts left when additional room is needed.

When the screen cannot fit both panels, Skill Locks appear as a fifth Locks tab inside the main window.

The locks are now always reachable regardless of screen size or interface layout.

Fixed: Stale Pools After Staff Edits

Saving the staff editor or running /rebirth reload now refreshes every online player.

Previously, only the staff member editing the configuration was refreshed.

This could cause a player who already had the reincarnation screen open to see one race pool but receive a reward from another.

Tensura Restricted Fixed: Quest Coin Bonus Failing Silently

The quest coin rebirth bonus integration now reports its status in the server log during startup.
