Temporal Horizons (Time Travel)

Temporal Horizons is a time-travel mod that lets you explore the same Minecraft world across several different eras.

Terrain, oceans, vegetation, structures, entities, the sky, and many other environmental features change depending on the selected time period. Some changes made by the player can also propagate through time, creating a connected timeline between eras.

Added Items

Time Jumper Device
Opens the era selection menu and allows you to travel through time.

Fast Return Device
Quickly brings you back to the Present from any other era.

Past 3 Billion Years

Past 1 Billion Years

Past 400 Thousand Years

Past 10 Years (World as it is generated)

Present (Overworld)

Future 2 Thousand Years

Future 400 Thousand Years

Future 3 Billion Years

Future 6 Billion Years

Each era presents a unique version of the world, ranging from ancient oceans and frozen landscapes to ruined civilizations and a planet transformed by the distant future.

Player-built structures created in Past 3 Billion Years, Past 1 Billion Years, and Past 400 Thousand Years are intentionally not preserved in later eras. This is a gameplay design choice, not a bug.

Do not keep your render and simulation distance too high or it will be very slow to load era's dimensions (Recommended render distance: 12 chunks, simulation distance: 10 chunks).

To avoid crashes while switching eras, it is recommended to return to the Present before traveling to another era.

Do not travel too fast between eras when loading them for the first time, wait until all chunks within your render distance are fully loaded before changing era again.

This is an early release, so bugs and unexpected behavior may occur.

You are free to include this mod in any public or private modpack.

- Fabric Loader 0.19.3 or newer
- Fabric API 0.107.0+1.21.1 or newer (for Minecraft 1.21.1)
- Java 21
